Core Keeper 1.0 offers a variety of different bosses that players can fight against. These bosses can be really challenging and will test you in combat. One such boss that you’ll eventually come across is Azeos the Sky Titan.
If you’re having trouble against this boss, we’ve got you covered. In this guide, we’ll go into everything you need to know about him. This includes what preparations you need to make, how to defeat him and what kind of rewards you can get. Let’s dive in!
Azeos Complete Boss Guide
Before you attempt to fight Azeous in Core Keeper, make sure that you’ve defeated the first three bosses in the game. This will allow you to bring the Great Wall that separates you from the intended biome.
Once you’ve defeated the bosses, make sure to talk to the Core after you’ve defeated each. They will then tell you the direction for each one and eventually bring down the wall for you.
One of these bosses is Ghorm, and we have a how to defeat ghorm the devourer guide that can help you out.
With that said, feel free to use the Table of Contents if you’re only interested in a specific aspect of defeating the boss.
Preparations
Before you attempt to find and defeat Azeos in Core Keeper, we recommend that you make certain preparations.
Starting off, you’ll obviously need a lot of health. So, try to bring foods or potions that will help you with health regeneration and increasing your overall health.
If you’re still having trouble with making good food items, our complete foods guide can help you out there.
After that, you also need something that will give you a lot of movement speed. Alongside foods that help you with movement speed, make sure to use a Swift Ring or Swift Feather.
A magical lens that helps you teleport is even better.
If you’re going for a melee build, we strongly suggest you bring a shield with you as well. This will help you deal with his thunder strikes when you get close to him.
Lastly, try to bring something that deals Poison damage. This is because Azeos will try to heal himself during the fight. Poison damage will help prevent that by dealing damage over time.
Bringing pets can also help with this part as you can do damage to him in cases where he’s healing or you’re too far away.
Azeos Location
Azeos can be found anywhere in the Azeos Wilderness biome located just beyond the Great Wall. You can absolutely run into him simply while you’re exploring the area.
However, a more efficient way to locate him is by crafting the Azeos the Sky Titan Scanner item. It will help you scan for the boss and pinpoint the exact location.
You’ll need the following items for this boss scanner item in Core Keeper:
- x5 Ancient Gemstone
- x5 Mechanical Part
- x10 Ancient Feather.
By this point, you should have plenty of Ancient Gemstones and Mechanical Parts in the game. For the Ancient Feathers though, you’ll need to explore the Azeos Wilderness biome quite a bit.
Of course, you’ll also need the item that summons the Azeos boss. This is the Large Shiny Shimmering Object and you’ll need to craft it as well.
This item will require the following materials in Core Keeper:
- x10 Copper Bar
- x10 Tin Bar
- x10 Iron Bar
- x10 Scarlet Bar
- x5 Gold Bar
- x3 Ancient Gemstone.
You can get the Scarlet Bars by exploring the Azeos Wilderness as well.
When you do locate the Azeos boss arena, you’ll know you’re in the right place when you see a lot of feathers.
Before you initiate the boss fight, make sure to find the Ancient Waypoint nearby. You should be able to find it somewhere near the arena, so be sure to dig around.
For example, in our case we found it in the location as shown below. This will allow you to teleport to the boss arena in the future.
Be sure to also dig around to make room in the boss arena. You can even consider adding some bridges on some of the edges as the boss can sometimes go over these edges. If you don’t have a bridge, you won’t be able to go over the gap.
This can be a problem, especially when the boss is healing. Consider using stone bridges as it’s possible that wooden ones can get destroyed. So making these preparations will make your life easier.
Once you’re ready, place down the Large Shiny Shimmering Object to summon the boss. Be warned though, that unlike other bosses, if you get too far from the boss range, the boss will disappear.
This will also cause this summoning item to go away, so you’ll need to craft another one to bring him again.
Boss Fight Strategy
When the Azeos boss spawns in Core Keeper, he will immediately start producing thunder strikes. These strikes will start moving vertically or horizontally and can damage you if you get caught. They’re also really quick as well, so you’ll need to react immediately.
These thunder strikes will have gaps, and you should immediately go towards these gaps to avoid them. This is why having movement speed is key.
On top of that, the boss will also produce crystals around the arena. When Azeos goes near them, he will slowly start healing.
So, it’s a good idea to destroy some of them when you get the chance. He won’t usually heal from all of them, so it’s not super important.
Another attack that you’ll need to watch out for is a ring of thunder. With this attack, the boss will summon thunder that will contract towards you. If you get caught in the middle, you will basically get one shot by the boss.
This attack is usually a problem if you’re a melee build, as you’ll be closer to the center when attacking the boss. So, you can deal with this attack by either dodging away as quick as possible or using a shield if you have to absorb the hit.
Either way, your main goal should be to damage the boss as much as you can after you dodge attacks. Sometimes the boss will teleport in hard to reach locations which is where the bridges will help.
Ranged or warlock builds work best against this boss, but you can certainly manage with melee builds. You’ll just have to be a bit more careful.
Once the boss reaches 40% of its health, Azeos will go into his Enraged state. In this state, he will have flames appear on him.
His attacks will now be much faster so you’ll need to be much more careful. Fortunately, he will still do the same damage so it won’t be as much of a problem as with other bosses.
Eventually, you will be able to kill the boss by utilizing this strategy.
Rewards
Now, we’ll see what kind of rewards or drops you can get from Azeos in Core Keeper. This will help you see whether farming the boss is worth it or not.
The first of these rewards is obviously your first Soul power. It gives you a chance of dealing thunder damage, which is incredibly powerful. This attack can also destroy the terrain.
However, this attack can also destroy your base, so you might want to deactivate it then. Besides that, you can get all sorts of drops from defeating him.
Here are the notable drops from Azeos that you should be on the lookout for:
- Corrupted Warden Armor Set
- Next level up from Chieftain Warlock set
- Beast Booster
- Helps you boost your pet’s experience
- Azeos’ Dash Feather
- Better version of the Swift feather
- Pile of Chum

- Broken Handle
