You can still play in these Community Servers, you’ll just need to do a couple of things first.

In this guide, we’ll show you how you can go and play on Community Servers in Counter-Strike 2! Now, get ready to download some files because we’ll be going to a different version of Counter-Strike 2!

How to Play On Community Servers

There’s been a lot of great and fun community servers for CS: GO. They can vary from just vanilla servers to custom maps, game modes, and more.

With the release of Counter-Strike 2 though, you can’t get into these Community Servers yet. There is a way to do it though by changing the beta in Steam!

Now, what you’ll want to do is, right-click on Counter-Strike 2 in Steam and click properties. Once you see the window pop-up, go to the Beta Tab.

Then, select the drop-down menu for Beta Participation. Next, what we’ll want to pick is “csgo_demo_viewer – 1.38.7.9.

Once you select this option, Steam will then download the necessary files to get you started. Once the download is done, you can then launch the game.

In the main menu, there is a drop box below play, select that and select Community Server Browser.

Selecting this will open the server browser that you might be familiar with. Now, you can go and connect to a community server!

With all these changes in the game, why not check out if you can still play CS: GO after the release?

Since Counter-Strike 2 just came out, there are some Community Servers out there that may still not be up.

The big change would probably break a bunch of scripts and assets, so it’ll take a while for them to update that. Keep that in mind if you don’t see your favorite server.

That’s how you can play on Community Servers in Counter-Strike 2. Now go out there and play in your favorite community server with your friends!
