Starting a new game can be daunting for some people, a new game means starting from scratch and a whole new thing to commit to. Some games make it easier for new players to join in while others don’t hold your hand that much. Gacha games in particular can be tough to get into because of the randomness involved in the Gacha mechanics. Looking for guides that require a specific character that you have to roll for can be too much for new players. In this beginner’s guide, we’ll show you what a beginner can do without the need for betting on the randomness in CounterSide.
Beginner’s Guide For CounterSide
Like most Gacha games Counterside has a story that you can follow. This story often isn’t as difficult as the rest of the game so that’s a great place to start. In CounterSide stories are divided into episodes and when you’re new, doing stories can be a great way to learn the game. When starting out make sure that you go through as many of the story chapters as you can because not only do you learn the game but also get some easy rewards from it.
One additional reason as to why you should do the story first is that it unlocks the rest of the game as you progress through it. One of the things that you unlock is Simulation which is your main way of getting resources in the game. Some of the important Simulations you need to keep an eye on are Defense Training #5 and Anti-Air Training #5. Both give you resources to upgrade counter and limit break skills.
Under Free Contract are missions that you can do to farm gear. Task 3 in particular will be your best friend in farming gear at the early stages of the game.
Speaking of the early stages of the game, at that point you’ll have very limited gear and resources for your squad. So, focus on one squad as you progress through the game. Spreading your resources on multiple squads will only hinder you in the long run. Having a main squad will make it so in the future, farming for other squads will be easier.
A great way to get resources is through daily deals. Every day you should check “Today’s Deals” for any resources you can get with the in-game currency. CounterSide has two types of currency. One is the free in-game currency and one is the currency you can get from special rewards or by buying them. For players who want to stay in the free-to-play route, this is a great way to spend your extra in-game currency.
When it comes to gear there are only a few things you’ll need to prioritize in this game. The number one thing you’ll want is cooldown reduction. Skills are your main moves in this game so having a chance to do more skills is always good. Other good stats are HP increase gear and attack speed increase gear.
Congratulations you now know the basics things you’ll need to look out for in CounterSide that you normally wouldn’t learn from the tutorials and main stories. Now go out there and enjoy the game, and remember to Gacha roll responsibly! Massive thanks to ACGamer for showing everyone a great guide for beginners in CounterSide.
