The new Cyberpunk 2077 DLC update adds the Cyberware Capacity system that requires Cyberware Capacity Shards to upgrade. This is to preface the Phantom Liberty expansion launching soon and while it’s not technically capped, players have shared struggles on grinding for this. We’re going to show you what they are and what they mean to the game.

How To Get & Use Cyberware Capacity Shards
Developers launched the Cyberware Capacity Shards that address some drawbacks players have noted since the launch of the game.
V can now install Cyberware parts on themselves but there’s a catch: each Cyberware has its own cost to limit the amount you can wear at the same time.
Raising your level and unlocking the Edgerunner and the Renaissance Punk perks are two permanent methods to find them. But that will only get you to 220 at max.
This is where the Cyberware Capacity Shards come into play.
Using the shards, you can unlock the cap so you can wear more Cyberware parts on your body. It is just one of the many ways players can use to unlock their Cyberware Capacity cap. And it’s, in theory, the unlimited way to do so.
However, Cyberware Capacity Shards are very rare drops from enemies and even rarer to find in stashes.
In fact, there’s a possibility that it’s being capped in current update in preparation for the upcoming Phantom Liberty. The highest Cyberware Capacity Limit some people have achieved is 270 which includes 50 additional points from the Cyberware Capacity Shards.
So, if this is you and you’ve been looking for ways to grind more shards after maxing out level and perks, don’t worry. Phantom Liberty will unlock the cap level to 60 and that might be the answer to the remaining points you’re missing.
That’s how you can find Cyberware Capacity Shards in Cyberpunk 2077 right now!
