It’s been about three weeks since the last significant update in Dandy’s World, but I believe we’re getting close to the next big release! In this guide, I’m excited to share everything that’s been confirmed for the upcoming update, including new confirmed Tunes, Twisted characters, rare Twisted characters, trinkets, and, of course, new skins.

There’s even a brand-new skin system, and Dandy will have a skin of his own! Plus, expect more plushies, posters, and, most importantly, revamped in-game mechanics. Some characters and Tunes are getting complete reworks, which is pretty wild!

New Update Complete Guide & Everything You Need To Know!

The next Dandy World update is confirmed to be released on September 28th, which falls on a Saturday—definitely a nice bonus! Let’s dive into everything that’s been teased over the past month to get us all up to speed on what to expect.

First up, the teaser image that accompanied the release date indicates that more Toons are being added. Cosmo and Sprout are just the beginning, which is exciting! We also see Twisted Sprout here, who seems to be tracking a mysterious silhouette that appears to be holding something—perhaps a mallet or hammer?

It could also be a spotlight, suggesting that this character might stun Twisted Sprout with a flash of light. The silhouette seems to be wearing a beanie or possibly a headband, adding to the intrigue.

This is both cool and a bit scary, as we can only guess what this twisted counterpart might do. We might even miss the days before Twisted was introduced into the game!

Info on Rare Twisteds & New Toon

Before diving into the juicy details, let’s start with the rare Twisted characters. As of now, there are only four: Twisted Goo, Twisted Scraps, Twisted Flutter, and Twisted Glisten. In the role-playing mode, the designations for Glisten, Goo, and Scraps were revealed as R2, R4, and R5, respectively. This leaves R1 and R3 unaccounted for, hinting that one of these might belong to Flutter, while the other could be a new rare Twisted character coming in the update.

Additionally, there’s evidence of a new Twisted character arriving soon, as a new Toon is confirmed. It’s almost certain that every new Toon will have a Twisted counterpart, as we’ve seen in previous updates.

Trinkets

Moving on to trinkets, it’s highly likely we’ll see new Twisted trinkets introduced. With new Tunes and Twisted characters on the horizon, purchasable trinkets are also expected to be added to the game. For those unfamiliar, these purchasable trinkets are available through Dandy’s shop, where players can select and buy them.

Skins & New Skin System

Now, let’s discuss the skins! Qwel, the creator of Danny’s World, has confirmed that more vintage skins will be added alongside the new Toons. Eventually, we will be able to purchase skins from Dandy’s store, and we already have 11 confirmed skins in the works, with two confirmed but unseen skins for Pebble and Roger. There are also nine unconfirmed skins across various Tunes, which could all be available for purchase.

Interestingly, there’s speculation about a Halloween skin for Scraps. It seems odd that only one Toon is getting a Halloween skin, but it would be fun to see other characters receive festive makeovers as well.

Here’s the extensive list of all confirmed skins coming to the game. Some skins, like Prismatic Pal for Fen, are still under wraps, but I’ll share a quick look at the Twisted skins for anyone who hasn’t seen them yet.

Moving on to the new skin system, Qwel has confirmed a gacha-style mechanic for obtaining skins, where players can purchase skin tickets for a chance to get a random skin. This system is designed to be fair, allowing players to potentially receive a new skin each time.

Miscellaneous Updates

In role-playing mode, players can also select skins for Dandy, hinting at possible future game mechanics involving Dandy as a playable character. This raises intriguing questions about the lore—could Dandy end up as a Tune navigating the game’s floors?

As for plushies, we’ve seen models for Danny and Pebble, which may hint at new floor types or serve as decorative items. The Twisted Dandy and Twisted Pebble plushies are particularly adorable! Additionally, two new storyboards have surfaced that will decorate a new floor type, showcasing the impressive effort that goes into the game’s design.

Speaking of design, a poster for Brightney’s game show has been revealed, which will serve as a decoration for the new floor. Wouldn’t it be fantastic if they incorporated a trivia game into Danny’s World?

New Toon & New Game Mechanics?

Now, let’s discuss the new Toon confirmed by silhouette. While we don’t have many details yet, it seems that Qwel is far from done adding new characters, with more on the way.

Finally, let’s touch on the game mechanics. Qwel has been considering buffing Dandy’s chasing speed due to feedback suggesting he’s not terrifying enough. While this change isn’t confirmed yet, it shows the developers are actively listening to player feedback. There are also potential buffs for Twisted Astro, Scraps, and Razzle & Dazzle in the works.

Players can expect progression meters to help track their requirements for unlocking new Tunes, enhancing the quality of life within the game.

Lastly, the Auto Buy Skin Tickets game pass is currently off sale, but it’s a topic worth keeping an eye on.
