With every new playtest there are certain number of new thigns that you can explore and find out. In this guide ew shall be showing you the latest and newest playtest update. Here we shall show you absolutely everything that there is to it. Let’s get started.

Huge Playtest Update | Nerfs, Buffs, New Spells & Weapons – Dark and Darker

There are a lot of new things that you are able to actually play through and test in the latest playtest of Dark and Darker. Here we shall present you with all of the newest information it:

Normal Dungeon

  • 18 players anticipated. Changeable.
  • 1 – 3 portals replaced 3 portals in the Crypt map’s closing ring. Inferno’s last ring matches Crypt’s.
  • “Common” and “Elite” monsters are rare.
  • Legendary items are rare. No uniques.

High Roller Dungeons

  • Expected 20 players. *** Subject to change.
  • Ante system — All High-Roller Dungeon entrants must pay gold.
  • Red portals outnumber Blue portals on the initial level (Crypt). Lower level Blue portals have been added (Inferno).
  • Each 3-person portal has 3 single-person portals.
  • High-Roller dungeons hide the kill log.
  • Face “Nightmare” creatures.
  • High-quality stuff drops better.
  • Unique gear only drops from bosses in High-Roller dungeons.

Map Updates

  • New crypt tiles. Larger map.
  • Starts more apart.
  • Floor 3 makeover.
  • Production-quality map components and less “Blockout” components.

New Magic System

  • All spells need memory.
  • Spell capacity lets magicians choose which spells to learn.
  • Knowledge influences your gaming spells. If your “Knowledge” or “Spell Capacity” stat dynamically changes, the last remembered spells could become availabl or sometimes unavailbalbe..
  • New spells include Lightning Strike Ice Bolt, Cleanse, Zap, Bind, and more.

Monster Updates

  • New “Nightmare” creatures.
  • Monster grades are now Common, Elite, Nightmare.
  • New monsters (Demon Centaur mini boss).
  • Updated Lich and Ghost King system..

Leaderboard

  • The High-Roller Dungeons are the sole source of accomplishments tracked on the Leaderboard.
  • Kills are only tallied when you properly extract from a wanted murder victim in Killer Outlaws, the successor to Wanted Murder.

Major Balance Update

  • Moderately slowed progression. Higher-grade item drops will be substantially lower than prior playtest.
  • New “Junk” starting gear grade.
  • Between “Common” and “Rare,” new “Uncommon” items.
  • Enhanced initial weapon damage.
  • Armor stats updated. New armor, including Barbuta Helm.
  • Some armors include Magic Resistance and other bonuses.
  • Increased swinging penalties. Heavy weapons weigh more.
  • New headshot decrease modifier. Helmets mostly.
  • Projectile damage modifier. Plate armor mostly.
  • The Points of Invisibility have now rarity-graded durations.
  • Rarity now determines campfire length.
  • Ice Shield, Multishot, Kinesthesia, etc.
  • Stiletto and Kris daggers are new Rogue weapons.
  • DPS increased somewhat by making daggers feel less “sticky” on strike.
  • Even “Normal Dungeons” boxes have a slight possibility of dropping “Epic” goods.

Quiver System Version

  • Bow weaponry can only shoot so many arrows before reloading.
  • Bow type determines quiver size.
  • Ranger attacks auto-reload their quiver.

Cosmetic Shop Version

  • Adventure Currency is like experience points. When you escape a dungeon, “Adventure Currency” is banked. Any extraction earns experience points.
  • Adventure Currency unlocks cosmetic enhancements.

Mining And Crafting Update

  • New utility pickaxe. All classes can melee with the pickaxe.
  • New Rubysilver ore discoveries on maps.
  • Mine mineral deposits using a pickaxe.
  • In their “Service” tabs, “Armourer,” “Weaponsmith,” and “Alchemist” may transmute Rubysilver ore.
  • In their “Service” tabs, “Armourer,” “Leathersmith,” and “Tailor” sell crafted things.

Party System Improvements

  • Change characters without re-inviting.
  • Added party leave button.
  • Ability to Kick Members and also Block them
  • Added “Party” menu to disable party invites.
  • The main menu now allows party conversation.

Christmas Update

  • “Nicholas” is a bizarre new trader.
  • Tavern holiday decorations.
  • New TavernMaster
  • Easter eggs commemorated.
