Dead Cells has had a new major update in the form of Version 3.5. As part of this new update, we have a lot of new content including new weapons. At this point, players now have several melee weapons to choose from.

So, we’ll be looking at a best melee weapon tier list. We will rank the weapons and see how they rank against each other. Without further delay, let’s dive in!

Best MELEE Weapons Tier List

In total, there are 70 melee weapons that you can currently use in Dead Cells. We’ll be putting them all in ranks, including the new Cursed Weapons added to the game.

Keep in mind that the placements for these weapons are completely subjective. You might have a completely different opinion depending on your playstyle and preferences.

With that said, here is the best Melee weapons Tier List.

Best Melee Weapons Tier List in Dead Cells.

S Tier

The melee weapons in this tier all offer crazy damage numbers and effects. On top of that, these weapons also feel good and reward you for learning them, such as the Oven Axe. Additionally, the third attack is also useful for these weapons.

A Tier

All of the weapons here are excellent in their own right. They feel great, have great combos and generally feel really good to use. However, they all tend to be lacking in one facet that keeps their ranking low. For example, the iconic Panchaku does not have good crits.

B Tier

We have an interesting combination of underrated and overrated weapons here. For example, there’s the Spite Sword that most people like which works well only with Vengeance. On the other hand, we have Machete and Pistol that people don’t like but works so well with brutality.

C Tier

The weapons here are all pretty decent and can be used if you optimize your builds. However, they are mostly one dimensional and do not usually synergize well with other combinations. Take the Hayabusa Boots that only really deal good melee damage and nothing else.

D Tier

You’ll find that most of the weapons here are mostly ineffective but always have a slight saving grace for them. This is usually in the form of an effect or some specific synergy. The Shovel is a good example as it’s a poor weapon but can be used to stun enemies.

F Tier

No matter how much you try to make them work, these weapons are just not effective. The damage numbers required for runs just aren’t there along with really frustrating mechanics. The Seismic Strike is one example as it has slow attacks and poor damage.

That’s everything you need to know for the best melee weapons tier list. We strongly suggest that you use the weapons in the higher tiers as you’ll generally have a good time with them. If there’s any ranking you disagree with, do let us know and why!

As part of the new update, the game also has a bunch of new heads that you can unlock. Check out our all heads unlock guide to see how you can get every single one!
