Out of all the locked containers that you can find in Dead Island 2, one of them just had to be a locked cooler. There might be some really good ones out there that can’t be easily pried open, but having to scour the neighborhood for its keys just feels weird.
Nevertheless, it’s never really a problem to begin with as this just means that there’s a gym bro out there who has the keys to it! Let’s see if they’ve been skipping out on leg day in this Cooler Key Location guide in Dead Island 2!
Strongman Cooler Key Location
The West Coast Weights Cooler isn’t really difficult to find as there’s only one gym in the area that you can go to, and that’s on the north side right next to the makeshift military base. It’s inside of the blue container south of the venue, but the announcer carrying the keys is bumbling around elsewhere. Here’s where you need to go.
Face east and run towards the Fatburg restaurant, it’s the last building alongside Venice Beach and the location of the announcer Jake Jones. After taking him out, get the keys to the cooler.
No, he hasn’t been doing leg day because he goes down rather easily, plus he’s wearing an apron. Now go back to West Coast Weights to claim your loot!
Upon opening the Strongman Cooler, you’ll get the Impactor Mace, for all of your medieval lordship needs!
You know, Venice Beach is quite huge, and this can’t be the only place that has a locked container that can be looted right? Remember that spot where you fought Jake? Near there is the Skate Things Skate Shop, and yes it houses an actual safe for you to loot, check it out if you’re hurting for more stuff to fill your pockets!
