If you think beating the game means you have done pretty much everything on the new Dead Space Remake, then you are sorely mistaken. That’s right, the fight for survival is not done yet just because you beat the game on Hard. Just like in the original, Dead Space Remake offers a harder difficulty called Impossible. If you think Hard was already too difficult, then Impossible is unforgiving. However, if you plan on going through with this challenge, then you should be prepared. In this guide, we show you how to survive Dead Space Remake on Impossible.

Impossible Difficulty Guide – Dead Space Remake

The Difficulty is Still Set on Hard… But There’s a Catch

Playing Impossible difficulty will be difficult because of one reason: you only get to save once. That’s right, you will only have one save throughout the entire playthrough. No auto saves will occur during your entire playthrough of Impossible. That means if you save once, then you will return to that save if you exit the game.

The difficulty is still the same as Hard difficulty, in which Isaac and Necromorphs will take the same amount of damage when playing on Hard. But if you were to die to Necromorphs or to the environments. Then you will revert back to where you saved. However, once you do, the difficulty will revert back to Hard.

That means you will need to start from the beginning on a new save file, and that you need to complete the game in one or two sittings in order to beat Impossible, which is hard because some people have lives outside of video games.

How to Beat Impossible Mode

Trying to beat Impossible mode is pretty much the same as doing Hard: be careful. Stock up on Med Packs and upgrade your suit so to have more health. You also need to use the following weapons to have an easier time playing the game:

  • Plama Cutter
  • Force Gun
  • Line Gun
  • Flamethrower or Ripper

These four guns will help out a lot. Plasma Cutter for cutting off limbs, Force Gun to blow back enemies if you get surrounded (but a fully upgraded Force Gun can kill Necromorphs in 2 to 3 hits), Line Gun for its alternate fire, and Flamethrower or Ripper to stun enemies.

There is also the option to save scum. If you feel like you’re about to die, quickly pause and exit the game. You will lose a large amount of progress if you were far from your save, but at least the save file will remain on Impossible mode.

He's also into multiplayer games that strike his fancy, specifically games like Call of Duty and Fortnite. Most especially Fortnite since he can play as different Marvel and DC characters in a battle royale against other famous and iconic characters.
