Demon Hunter: Complete Beginner Demon Guide & Progression

Demons only exist to devour weak humans.

If you’re a fan of the Demon Slayer anime, then look no further than the Demon Hunter game available on Roblox. The game shows a lot of loyalty to the show, allowing you to even choose between the races. If you’re starting out as a human, we recommend checking out the Beginner Slayer Guide.

However, in this guide, we’ll be looking at Progression if you choose a Demon. As a beginner, you’ll want to start off strong and navigate the extensive content that is available in the game. And who knows, maybe you’ll be top of the leaderboards after rolling around some heads! With that said, let’s get into it!

Beginner Demon Guide & Progression

For the most part, Demons do not have as much content to go through compared to Slayers (as is the case with most Demon Slayer games).

Nonetheless, here are the things that a Beginner Demon will need to worry about when it comes to progression:

  • Understanding the different meters and skill tree
  • Going through limb training
  • Completing missions (Muzan NPC).
  • Obtaining their Blood Demon Arts (BDA)

SIDE NOTE: I’ll be mentioning a lot of locations from the game. If you’re not familiar with them, make sure to check out our dedicated guide for all the locations in Demon Hunter!

Understanding Meters & Skill Tree

Before you can go and show the Slayers whose boss, you’ll need to understand the meters. Demons come with three meters, which can be a bit confusing for Beginner Demons. Every single one of these is important, as Slayers can affect each of them in different ways depending on their builds.

Here is a breakdown of what all the meters do:

  • Green Bar
    • Represents your Standard Health
    • Dictates whether you live or die
  • Red Bar
    • Represents your Blood Bar
    • When Blood runs out, you can no longer regenerate your health
  • Yellow Bar
    • Represents your Limbs Bar
    • Dictates how long you’ll be stunned for after block is broken

Additionally, you’ll also see an Innate Stat as the top left corner of your UI. Every single Beginner Demon is given one randomly after they spawn in the game. It gives a buff to a specific aspect of your character depending on which one you have.

You can check out all the Innate Stats on the Demon Hunter Official Trello. It is a great resource created by the community, featuring all the details you’ll ever need in the game!

Next up, we have the Skill Tree that you can access by hitting the M key. As you progress as a Demon and level up, you will gain points. You can use these points to upgrade different aspects of your Demon.

To upgrade your Demon, spend points on the Nodes at the right side of the Skill Tree. You can hover your cursor above them to see exactly what they will improve.

Limb Training

As a Demon, going through extensive Limb training is crucial for progression. Basically, you want to spam it as much as possible so that you can increase your Limb Level. Doing so will provide you with all sorts of buffs and passives. Not to mention, it will also increase your Limb meter.

You can do Limb Training by going to the Infinity Fortress. Specfically, it is situated near the platforms with Training Dummies holding Katanas. If you’re having trouble finding it, you can locate it near the Clothing Shop.

There are three levels to Limb Training in the game. Here is a breakdown of what Trainings you should go for based on your level:

  • 5k Limb Training
    • Between Level 0-15 (for beginner Demons)
  • 10k Limb Training
    • Between Level 15-30
  • 20k Limb Training
    • Level 30+

When you’re ready for Limb Training, hold the E key to get it started. This will initiate a mini game that very much resembles OSU! You will basically need to hit all the numbers in order. Make sure to click when the shrinking circle just lines up with the smaller circle.

The more accurate your timing is, the higher Limb EXP you will gain. Make sure that you focus extensively on Limb Training for ideal progression.

Completing Missions (Leveling Up)

When you spawn in, you want to make sure you familiarize yourself with the Muzan NPC in the Infinity Fortress. He’s the one you’ll be visiting for Stalker Missions as a beginner Demon (and other missions later on). You can find him easily, by looking around for a Red Aura or Silhouette.

Once you spot the Red Aura (it can be spotted from anywhere in the Infinity Fortress), follow it all the way until you are facing him.

You can get all sorts of Missions from him, as he’ll take you into the Mission Queue. However, early on, you want to focus only on Stalker Missions. They are a great and foolproof way of leveling up. In the early game, most Slayers are much weaker than Demons.

You can take advantage of this to easily pass missions and get your Demon’s progression going. Once Missions end, you can use the V key to teleport back to the Infinity Fortress, and vice versa to Tokyo or Plains.

Additionally, another great way to level up is by taking advantage of Perma Death (PD) events. These are events where you gain x3 more EXP, meaning way faster progression. The only catch is that progression is wiped for Demons which are Level 80+.

So, a Beginner Demon, you will not have to worry about progression Resetting. So, we highly suggest you take advantage of this, as it’ll allow you to level up really fast.

PD events take place between 5:11-5:15 EST, with a one third (⅓ ) chance of occurring daily. However, if the event does happen within two days, it is guaranteed to happen on the third day.

Also, the events work separately for the Tokyo and Plains area, so keep that in mind when you are waiting for it.

Getting your Blood Demon Arts (BDA) Skills & Passives

As you progress as a Demon, and start leveling up, you’ll be wondering what your BDA is. This is basically the type of Demon that you are. It will give you different passive buffs and skills.

You can’t choose what kind of BDA you are. You are randomly assigned one once you hit Level 30. You’ll be able to tell what BDA you are when certain aspects of your character changes. For example, the Thunderdeath Demon will have a unique lightning shaped Weapon.

Once you hit level 50 is when you’ll get your first BDA skill. So, there is quite a bit before you need to worry about BDA as a Beginner Demon. Eventually, you can even get Demon Passives once you hit level 80, like Claws.

That’s everything you need to know about the Beginner Demon Progression Guide. As you can see, the Demon progression is a bit more straightforward as compared to the Slayer progression. However, this does not mean that progression will be easier. Make sure that you work through Limb Training. Doing so will provide you with all sorts of great rewards towards the later sections of the game.
