In Demon Hunter, you can become a Demon Slayer and obtain many breathing styles to become stronger. The Insect Slayer Breathing Style is a style that focuses more on limb damage since you’ll be getting a limb damage increase. This guide will provide you with two different builds you can go with the Insect Breathing Style so you can start winning more against your opponents.

Best Insect Build Guide – Insect Breathing

The Insect Breathing technique is exclusive to Slayers in Demon Hunter. Just like its name, it focuses on dealing limb damage to obliterate the demons in the game. I’ll discuss everything you’ll need to know about the technique and how to build it!

Build 1 – Full Limb Damage

This Build is a build that focuses more on cutting the Limbs of your opponents. Since this is a Limb Breathing Style, you will want to build so you can chop off limbs more easily. It focuses primarily on damage and provides you with decent health so you can better survive.

  • Innate Talent: Tech
  • Sword Stats: 210 Affinity
  • Technique: 90 (112)
  • Constitution: 70
  • Intelligence: 40

The good thing about this build is that you can guarantee a limb chop with a slash or a move. Sometimes, you will be able to chop 2 limbs with two slashes or moves. Multi-hit moves like Horizontal Chop can sometimes cut off both limbs from your opponent.

Keep in mind that with 40 Intelligence, you cannot beat the Asthma. If you decide to raise the number, you will either do no damage or become very squishy with little health. The 40 Intelligence stat is for now the best stat you can go with for the build.

Build 2 – Hybrid Damage

The second Build is the Hybrid Build which wants you to invest more in the Dexterity stat. Each point you invest in the Dexterity stat will increase each other stat by a small amount.

  • Innate: Tech
  • Sword Stats: 210 Affinity.
  • Dexterity: 100 (Around 30 stat points into everything)
  • Technique: 49 (Becomes 91)
  • Strength: 1 (Becomes 31)
  • Constitution: 40 (Becomes 70)
  • Intelligence: 10 (Becomes 40)

This Build can also guarantee you a Limb chop with 1 move or slash. Since you are getting the Strength stat on the build, you can start dealing some damage to the green bar.

The cons of this Build are also the same compared to the first build. Since you also have 40 Intelligence, you cannot beat the Asthma.

Raising or lowering the points in this stat means that you will either sacrifice damage or health. However, you can still change the stat numbers based on your personal preference and playstyle.

Movesets

When it comes to your Moves, there are a lot of moves you can go for. The next section will only provide you with a few moves that you should use. However, if you want to look for the other moves, consider taking a look at the Demon Hunter: Official Trello Link for more information.

Extra Information

Now that you know the two Builds and what moves you should bring into battle, it is important that you know some facts about the Insect Breathing Style.

The Insect Breathing Passive lets you deal tick damage from landing your moves and slow the healing of your opponents. The 25 Breathing Level passive lets you go invisible for half a second every time you land any move.

You can also turn your opponent’s screen pink for a short duration. This will make them harder to see and navigate their character. When combined with your invisibility passive, you can really become a real threat.

Keep in mind that the Insect Breathing Style may require you to have a higher skill ceiling. This means that there is a lot of space for you to learn and improve as you main the Insect Breathing.

Overall, the Insect Breathing is worth it for you to try. The Breathing Style has unique pink effects on each slash of your sword, which is very eye-catching. If you put in a lot of effort with the Insect Breathing, you will start seeing great results in your games!
