Demonfall for Roblox finally gets its long-awaited Update 5, bringing along a large host of updates that are great for both complete beginners and veterans.

Most notably, the game now has the Flower Breathing Technique, which you can unlock after a short quest. That’s on top of a large host of other small additions and a myriad of fixes! However, it’s not all good news. This update also greatly changes the game’s inventory system, which has led to an inventory reset for the vast majority of players…

With that said, we’ll give you a complete list of all the changes in Demonfall Update 5 and guide you toward experiencing the new content!

Complete Update 5 Guide | Main Changes and Additions

New Content and Biggest Changes

Flower Breathing example
  • The biggest new addition to the game is the Flower Breathing skill tree. Since it’s such a notable addition, it deserves its own section, so we’ll cover it further later on in this guide!
  • Added the Stone Slayer Mark for users of Stone Breathing.
  • Added proper icons to the Hantengu Blood Demon Art.
  • Added proper male and female torsos for character customization. Also added scars as a cosmetic option during character creation.
  • Reworked inventory system with fixed item search. Additionally, items have had their limits changed to be per item instead of global. This change was done on an item-per-item basis, but most items allow for larger stacks.
  • Items of the same type will stack together when dropped next to each other. You can also choose how many items to drop at once.
  • However, these inventory changes will also result in an inventory reset for most users. This is due to the game transferring its data to a new system to prevent duplication glitches.
  • Brought back the day and night cycle, as well as Sun damage.
  • Improved the directional movement system, so you can move diagonally now. Also, added Inverse Kinematics to characters’ legs for more accurate visuals.
  • Optimized and reworked the Slayer Skill “See Through World”. It should be more responsive now.
Boulder Item
  • Added the Boulder item, sold to you by Kitomara for 300 yen. You can use it and balance it on your back to get Breath experience!
  • Added a rewards shop for Ranked PvP. You’ll get Ranked Coins from winning matches, which you can trade in for various rewards.
  • Lastly, all previously banned users will be unbanned! However, their accounts have been wiped, so they have to start from scratch. Still, it’s nice that they gave them a second chance…

Balance Changes

Reworked Shockwaves
  • Optimized the invincibility frames and hyper armor on abilities so that they better match their animations.
  • Similarly, all shockwave abilities have been reworked so that the hitboxes and animations match more accurately.
  • The Clay Gourds sold by Usso have had their Breath EXP buff increased to x2.
  • The M1 for Obi Art (Daki Blood Demon Art) now has higher Stun and Damage.
  • Obi Art’s “Obi Layered Slash” cooldown is now 15 instead of 30.
  • Stone Breathing’s “Stone Impale” cooldown was increased to 10, from 6.
  • The stamina cost for all of Stone Breathing’s moves was increased by 50%. The only exception is Stone Mountain. Pretty harsh nerf for Stone Breathing, huh?
  • Swamp Demon BDA’s “Swamp Grab” now costs 25 stamina and deals 15 damage. It used to cost 14 stamina and deal 18 damage. Big nerf, but fairly deserved. On the other hand, the attack also got fixed and should work more reliably now.
  • Swamp Demon BDA’s “Swamp Punch” had its cooldown increased to 30, from 25. Its stun timer was also reduced from 1.25 to 1.00.
  • Sun Breathing’s “Burning Bones, Summer Sun” deals 10 damage to non-Kamados instead of 5. However, its stun timer is now 0.5 instead of 0.7. Also, optimized the move to prevent it from bugging out.

Bug Fixes

Demonfall Artwork | Demonfall: Complete Update 5 Guide (Roblox)
  • Fixed a variety of NPCs and bosses. This includes Kokushibo, Gyutaro, Grimm, Urokodaki, Akaza, Green Demon (Frosty Cave), and Blue Demon (Entertainment District).
  • Fixed various bugged skills and abilities. This includes Swamp Demon BDA’s “Swamp Grab”, Stone Breathing’s “Stone Impale”, and Beast Breathing’s “Third Fang”.
  • Fixed the frequent glitching that would occur when using the Katana’s M2.
  • Fixed various quest progression bugs. Most notably in the “Rescue Crow” and the Demon Storyline’s first mission. On that note, this update should also fix potential bugs and softlocks in the tutorial.
  • Using the Agatsuma Family abilities alongside the Slayer Mark no longer makes players unkillable.
  • Fixed hitbox glitches during the Infinity Castle Raid Quest.
  • Fixed the clothes displays in the Slayer Corps HQ area. They should refresh properly now, so you can get the best drip!
  • Fixed the item crafting menu. It should work properly now, though some players seem to still have issues with it.
  • Various dialogue fixes, such as typos and the like. Also, implemented a fix to prevent your answers during dialogues from not working.

According to the developers, there are even more under-the-hood fixes than what’s officially listed. Too many fixes for them to list, apparently! After all, this update was originally only for bugfixing, so it makes sense.

How to Get Flower Breathing | Demonfall Complete Update 5 Guide

Tsuruyi at the HQ

As we mentioned previously, Flower Breathing is the new big thing added to Demonfall with Update 5. Our guide wouldn’t be complete without talking about it! You’ll need to complete a small quest to get this breathing technique. Start by speaking to Tsuruyi in the Slayer Corps HQ. She’ll ask you to find 3 beautiful flowers and bring them to her.

Sakura Passage mountain

The first flower you can find is in the Sakura Passage area. It’s easiest if you take the exit from Okuyia Village, as this will put you on a path leading to a tall mountain, as shown above.

Sakura Passage mountain, closer

Head to that mountain and climb it until you reach the peak.

Sakura Passage mountain top

At the top of the mountain, you should spot a glowing yellow flower.

Thunder Breathing shack

For the second flower, you need to head to where the Thunder Breathing trainer is. It’s the small shack with the purple Wisteria Tree in the Coach Forest, shown above.

Large tree by the beach

From the shack, turn around to face the beach and look for a ledge with a large tree. Climb the ledge and keep heading in the tree’s direction.

Wisteria Tree near the beach

Eventually, you should notice another Wisteria Tree through the fog. It can be hard to see in this area, but the tree’s purple leaves make it stand out!

Flower found

Approach this Wisteria Tree to find the second flower at its base.

Sun Mansion courtyard entrance

For the third and final flower, you need to head over to the Sun Mansion. It’s close to where you take the Slayer Exam, somewhere between the Slayer Corps HQ and the Entertainment District area.

Flower near statue

At the Sun Mansion, you need to look for the stone statue in the courtyard. The final flower is right in front of it. Now you just need to head back to Tsuruyi in the Slayer Corps HQ to get Flower Breathing!

Flower Breathing Skills Breakdown

Flower Breathing Technique

This Breathing Technique comes with 5 different abilities. But, before we cover those individually, it’s worth noting that Flower Breathing also has a passive. You’ll recover some stamina whenever you land M1 attacks on your opponent!

Now, these are all of the 5 main abilities from Flower Breathing:

First Form

First Form: Petal Dance – A quick dash toward your enemy, causing a pillar of petals to erupt when hitting an enemy. This also inflicts ragdoll, making it easy to combo from.

Third Form

Third Form: Degenerative Bloom – Thrust your weapon into the enemy, leaving an explosive flower mark. The mark explodes after a few seconds, dealing good damage.

Fourth Form

Fourth Form: Crimson Hanagoromo – Summons a large pillar of petals some distance in front of you. You need proper spacing to use it effectively, but it’s extremely strong when used right. The pillar stays for a while, dealing repeated damage.

Sixth Form

Sixth Form: Whirling Peach – A counter that deals good damage and pushes enemies far away when you get hit. Great for giving you breathing room during fights.

Final Form!

Final Form: Equinoctial Vermilion Eye – Become focused, turning the screen red and black. You’ll automatically parry any parryable attacks while this form is active. However, your screen will go black for a long time after it ends, so be careful!

Well, pal, that’s the end of our complete guide to Demonfall Update 5. It’s been a long time since this game got an update, but this update is fairly nice overall, right?
