Halloween is right around the corner, actually, the corner is quite rounded and you’ve been sorely duped. That’s what you get for posing as a Demonologist without getting to know your tools properly!
Everybody knows it’s common knowledge to let the entities talk to you through a radio where there are constant interruptions and irregularities, but you wouldn’t know that because your neck has been recently snapped!
In this guide, we’ll go through the essential equipment that you’ll be using during your missions in Demonologist.
Essential Equipment Guide | Demonologist
Right now there’s a total of seventeen different types of equipment and tools that can aid you in your journey of banishing the aesthetically pleasing entities that plague the Sally house.
You’ll unlock the rest as you progress further, and you can do this quicker by not dying all the time whenever you take on a job.
Here’s what you can buy at the moment:
Naturally, you’ll have your flashlight with you at the very beginning, why? Because nobody in their right mind would spend $50,000 to hunt down ghosts or demons with night vision goggles.
The next thing you’ll have access to will be your EMF, remember: the most noise it makes, the more you should check over your shoulder for anything out of the ordinary.
The next tool you’ll have is the ESG, it raises the energy levels for anything that’s considered paranormal and will even present itself briefly if you plant the object in the right spot. You can use this alongside candles and the crucifix if you’re in dark areas to keep your sanity in check.
Another item you’ll be using is the Easel Canvas, a bit overkill if you’re into supernatural lore since this allows the entity to draw the entire dimension they’re residing in if placed in the correct position.
You can also use the Ecto Glass as if it were a UV Light to see any prints that your undead guests leave behind.
Here are a few more sets of tools that will come in handy once you get more experience and money:
- Camera – This lets you take photos of the ghosts as a bonus objective.
- Ouija Board – Lets you communicate with the undead, and drains your sanity every time it’s in your possession.
- Sanity Pills – Restores your sanity, just like in Phasmophobia.
- Tarot Cards – Keeps things interesting by either starting a hunt immediately, locking an entity inside of a room, or even reviving a fallen friend. The effects depend on which card you pull.
- Spirit Box – Let you communicate with the undead.
- Thermometer – Use this to tell if a room is housing something out of the ordinary.
- UV Light – Shows fingerprints left behind by paranormal beings, slightly different from the Ecto Glass.
- Tripod Camera – Lets you monitor a location from the safety of your base if you’re ever low on sanity.
These are the tools that will keep you alive in each mission. Every ghoul or demon will behave differently so figure out their patterns to know which one is the most appropriate to have on hand.
Now go and tell your friends to use the wrong one for a bit of fun!
