When you complete quests in Destiny 2, you would expect rewards like weapons or armor to be presented to you, right? Well, not all the time. Sometimes, when you complete a quest in the game, your reward is… another quest. Yep, that happens sometimes. But trust me, the rewards for it become even better, sometimes being an Exotic quest reward.

In this guide, we will show you how to complete the Stride quest, and if you are having trouble looking for a guide, then look no further because we got your back.

All 7 Steps Strider Guide – Destiny 2

Step 1: Visit the Archivist

Shortly after completing the last step for Bluejay, which is to talk to the Archivist, you will get the Strider quest.

Talking to the Archivist is the last step for Bluejay, and also the first step for Strider. If you have not completed Bluejay yet, then you should really do that first. If you are having trouble, then we got a guide here that can help you complete the Bluejay quest.

Step 2: Loot Terminal Overload Chests

Moving to the second step for Strider, you will need to participate in the Terminal Overload event and open the chest at the end of every event. To do that, however, you will need to get a Terminal Overload Key.

Make sure you have 3 Terminal Overload Keys for this because you will need to open the chests in Ahimsa Park, Zephyr Concourse, and Liming Harbor.

The downside is that the Terminal Overload event refreshes daily, meaning that you will need 3 days to complete this step.

Step 3: Location Data and Data Cipher

Step 3 will require you to collect 2 things: 20 Location Data and a Data Cipher.

To complete this, you will need to defeat Shadow Legion forces in Neomuna for the Location Data, and then complete the Ahimsa Park Lost Sector to collect the Data Cipher.

Steps 4-5: Visit Archivist and Restore Strider’s Memorial

Steps 4 and 5 will be easy to complete.

For Step 4, you will need to talk to the Archivist in the Hall of Heroes. After talking to the Archivist, you will then move to Step 5, which is to restore Strider’s memorial.

Both steps are incredibly easy to do as they are both right next to each other.

Step 6: Vex Operation Halted

After completing Steps 4 and 5, Step 6 will require you to halt a Vex operation in Maya’s Retreat on Neptune.

Maya’s Retreat can be found in Liming Harbor, so you can fast-travel there and travel by Sparrow to reach the quest start.

Step 7: Visit Archivist

After completing Step 6, it’s time to complete the Strider quest with Step 7. Go back to Archivist and talk to them.

You will then be able to get your new Exotic weapon, Winterbite. After picking up the weapon, the quest will automatically complete.
