Another week for Destiny 2 fans as we get ready for the release of the new expansion, Lightfall. This vaporwave aesthetic-filled expansion is set for release on February 28, literally the last day of the month.
With that in mind, it’s time to get ready for the newest expansion by doing every challenge under the sun in Destiny 2.
Right now, we are focusing on the Ascendant challenge in the Shattered Ruins. If you are in need of assistance with this one, then you have come to the right place.
Ascendant Challenge Shattered Ruins Guide & Location – Destiny 2
Go to Petra Venj and Get the Challenge
Before we do anything, let’s do the obvious and get the Ascendant Challenge from Petra Venj first in the Dreaming City.
You will need 1500 Glimmer in order to get the challenge.
After getting the challenge, I would recommend popping a Tincture of Queensfoil. This will help you complete the challenge that much faster.
Go to Spine of Keres
You will need to go to the Spine of Keres in order to do this challenge.
However, you don’t need to enter the large tower. Instead, go right and jump off the bridge.
With the Tincture of Queensfoil active, you will be able to make invisible paths appear before you plummet to your death.
After you land on land, just follow this path forward.
Eventually, you should be able to find a portal here.
Here’s a screenshot of the map of where you need to be. Once you see the portal, just jump inside and you will continue the challenge.
Enter the Shattered Ruins
Now you are in the Shattered Ruins. It’s a dark area and it’s pretty hard to see, so watch your step or else you might fall to your death.
You will need to climb up the Shattered Ruins to the top, which is going to be tough because of how dark the area is. Plus, the area is riddled with many traps that are set out all over the place.
Once at the top, you will need to defeat Val Eralus, The Obedient. He’s a tough opponent, but you can beat him if you saved your ultimate.
Once you defeat Val Eralus, go to the middle platform and open the chest to collect your rewards.
