The new Edge of Fate DLC features a bunch of new quests that you can take on in Destiny 2. Each of these quests are divided into distinct objectives that add new gameplay mechanics which can serve to be pretty challenging at times. One such mission is the The Exile’s Accord Strangelet which will have you going to different areas of the new map. It also adds a new puzzle which can be pretty confusing in the form of barriers. In this guide, we’ll show you how to get past them and complete the objective. Without further delay, let’s dive in!
Sabotage the House of the Exiles Arc Refinery
The Sabotage the House of the Exiles Arc Refinery is only one objective of The Exile’s Accord Strangelet mission. Additionally, the point of this mission is so that you can eventually reach the Transient mission where you actually overload the generator.
Step 1: Get Past First Barrier
At the start of the objective, you will come across a barrier that you cannot shoot down. To actually get past it, you will need to use a Relocator gun which can be found nearby.
It should look something like this.
With the Relocator in hand, aim the gun at the teleportation plate that you see past the barrier wires. Shoot the plate and doing so will charge up the nearby teleportation plate on your side.
From here, you simply need to walk to the portal on the plate and you’ll be transported to the other side of the barriers.
Before you proceed we recommend that you turn around and go to the nearby console near the barriers. This will allow you to disable the barriers so that you won’t have to deal with them again if you ever come by this route.
Trust me though, you will most likely come down this path for another objective which involves locating lodi in augur’s brethel. So, it’s best you get rid of this headache now!
Optional: Open The Chest
While this isn’t necessary for the mission, we do recommend that you grab a nearby secret chest. You can open it using your Rosetta II. In our case, we managed to get a sweet Last Thursday which is an Exotic weapon.
Step 2: Overload Pylons
As you proceed, you’ll come across another barrier. However, the Relocator and teleportation plate on your side will be closed off. This is because you need to get rid of the Pylon that is powering the shield around them.
To do this, simply go into your Matterspark form and go to the Pylon. Charge it up until the meter fills up and the sparks start flying.
Step 3: Get Past Second Barrier
With the Pylon taken care of, simply grab the nearby Relocator and shoot the teleportation plate as you did with the previous barrier. Doing so will allow you to transport to the other side.
Again, remember to disable the barrier from the console permanently so that you’ll have an easier time with this path.
Step 4: Teleport Past Final Barrier
The barriers just don’t stop! When you come into the new area, you’ll come across a bunch of enemies. We recommend that you deal with these enemies first – making sure to get them on all the platforms.
Eventually, you’ll come across a barrier on one of the platforms with the Relocator seemingly nowhere in sight. You can actually find the Relocator by climbing onto the higher platforms. Eventually, you should find it inside a building.
Bring it back to the hanging platform and you can now fire at the teleportation plate – which you’ll be more than familiar with at this point. Doing so will allow you to get past the final barrier.
Step 5: Reach Transient Mission
Proceed ahead and you’ll come across more enemies. Eventually, you should come across the Transient Mission marker which will allow you to take on the next mission where you actually overload the generator.
You’ll across a variety of puzzles and even a boss encounter – so be prepared!
