Diablo 4: The Hunter’s Chase Guide | Equip A Vampiric Power & Search For Clues

The Hunter becomes the Hunted.

The new Seasonal Event for Diablo 4 provides some interesting seasonal quests that players can participate in. These quest lines have their own story, characters and dialogue and fans are already revisiting their beloved game. One of these quests is The Hunter’s Chase quest.

In The Hunter’s Chase quest, there are some objectives that can be a bit confusing. This is especially because they introduce the new Vampiric Powers that are a bit confusing to access. So, in this guide, we will show you how to Equip a Vampiric Power and Search for Clues in the Hunter’s Chase quest. Let’s dive in!

The Hunter’s Chase Guide

In The Hunter’s Chase quest, you will get an objective where you have to Search For Clues. You will also be in a strange looking room with dead bodies and experimental equipment.

Your first clue can be located in the top left corner of the room. There will be a Crumpled Note that you can interact with, which shows the mad ramblings of a scientist.

The second clue is the Blood Filled Well that can be found in the middle of the leftmost wall. There will be a large skeletal statue on it, and it is impossible to miss it. Approach this ominous statue and interact with it. The Clue description is even creepier than the actual statue!

The third clue is actually right next to the Blood Filled Well. It is the large journal propped open that is facing the second clue called the Crude Journal. Interact with it and you will find further ramblings from a mad man.

Once you’ve interacted with all the clues, the objective will change, and you will need to Speak to Erys.

You can find Hunter Erys in the center of the room, looking over the dead bodies. Interact with him and this will start a dialogue.

He will notice that there is a bite mark on you which indicates that you are developing Vampiric Powers.

After the dialogue, you will actually get a prompt to equip your first Vampiric Power. This can be done through the Seasonal tab in your Inventory.

Opening this tab will reveal a Vampiric Powers upgrade tree. There is also a list of Vampiric Powers that you can equip and upgrade.

For this particular quest, you can only equip one Vampiric Power which is Undying Level 1. The other ones are locked and you will need to unlock them later on. Equip the only available Vampiric Power and this will finish The Hunter’s Chase quest.

After that, you will need to get Potent Blood which can be used to unlock and upgrade your Vampiric Powers.
