Disney Dreamlight Valley is a cozy life-sim game full of all the fan favorite Disney characters that you can freely interact with.
There are a lot of mysteries to uncover and activities to complete in this game, and among them is a quest called Glowing Up.
This guide will try to quickly run you through the process of completing it.
Glowing Up Quest Guide
Upon receiving the Glowing Up quest, your first task will be to find and speak with Mother Gothel, whose current location can easily be spotted on the map.
After speaking with her, she will ask you to search around for Sundrop Petals in Eternity Isle. Mother Gothel will provide you with a map that will aid in your search.
Also, in case you didn’t know, you can also catch and feed monkeys in the Eternity Isle, as per the recent A Rift In Time update!
If you need to bring up the map once more, just open the menu and click on Collection -> Memories. The map itself has four X marks indicating the general areas where you have to go to find the petals.
Sundrop Petal #1
The first one can be found in The Overlook. You will need to use the Hourglass to find it, and it likely won’t be right on top of where the X is on the map, so you will need to search around for a bit.
In this area, the petal was found on the northwestern corner of The Overlook, right beside a tree.
Sundrop Petal #2
For the next one, you will have to travel to the south of The Grove. Specifically, while looking at the map, you will be able to find the petal somewhere on the right side of the bridge.
Sundrop Petal #3
For the next one, you can find it somewhere on The Oasis. Just take the nearest fast travel point and start searching around this general area until you get the petal.
Sundrop Petal #4
The fourth and final Sundrop Petal can be found in The Wastes. It’s likely to pop up around the corner highlighted in the map below.
Ask For Magical Help
After collecting all four Sundrop Petals, the next step will be to ask for help from either Ursula or Merlin.
Both of them may be wandering around the Valley at certain times, so just go to whichever of the two are the easiest to reach at the moment.
Upon speaking with either of them, you will be tasked with gathering the following items:
- 5 Dream Shards – Small chance to be found after clearing out Night Thorns or feeding critters.
- 3 Evergems – These are mined in The Ruins.
- 8 Skeleton Fish – Can be fished in places such as the Wastes, Borderlands, and Plains.
Once you have gathered all the necessary ingredients, you can now head over to your nearest crafting station and make an Eternal Sundrop Charm.
The next step is to give the charm to Rapunzel, who will then run over to and speak with Mother Gothel.
After that, you will be tasked with decorating a campsite area within the Jungle. These are the following decorations you will need:
- 1 Cozy Fire Pit
- 2 Purple Seating
- 4 Decorative Lighting
- 3 Rustic Decorations
Once you’re done with this step, speak with Rapunzel and go with her back to the campsite. After that, the quest should be completed after speaking with her once more!
And those are all of the steps involved in the Glowing Up quest in Disney Dreamlight Valley! It’s a relatively simple quest, with the hardest step probably being the part where you have to collect dream shards, if you don’t have some already!
