Disney Dreamlight Valley: How To Fully Interact With Your Companions

Pets in video games are always fun to have. They usually have the same cuteness as real-life pets but without the responsibility and expensive vet fees! Be it a pet that can fight in your RPGs or just farm animals in farm life simulation games where you just pet them and throw hay at them it’s good to have them.

In Disney Dreamlight Valley you can have pets as well, though they call them Companions in the game. Maybe because some of the characters are animals and it can sound degrading if you have a pet dog and goofy is there. Wait a minute! Goofy has a pet dog too! Anyway, the new update adds new stuff for pets, let’s go check them out!

How To Fully Interact With Your Companions In Disney Dreamlight Valley

In Disney Dreamlight Valley if you’ve been playing for a long time you might have had a collection of companions already. From small little piglets to flying magical creatures, they’re all there to follow you around. The problem was that they were always just in your inventory and not living outside the world. With the new update that changes since they added new furniture for companions!

A New Cozy Home!

Once you get the new update, go to the nearest crafting table and go to the Functional Items tab. The first thing you’ll need to make is a Cozy Companion Home. This little house needs 15 Softwood, 5 Sunflowers, 5 White & Red Hydrangea and 1 Topaz.

Once you have it you can place it anywhere on the island and interact with it. You can then house up to 4 companions in this little house. They’ll spawn in the world and run around. Of course, there’s also new furniture for them to interact with which you can make in the crafting table. Here’s all the new furniture for Companions:

• Flying Companion Feeder
  • 5 Softwood
  • 5 Clay
  • 5 Wheat
  • 2 Red Bell Flower
• Fuzzy Friend Companion Dish
  • 5 Clay
  • 5 Wheat
  • 2 Red Bell Flower
• Pixar Companion Ball
  • 3 Red Bell Flower
  • 5 Yellow Daisy
  • 5 Blue Hydrangea
• Playful Companion Pinwheel
  • 5 Softwood
  • 5 Fiber
  • 5 Pink Hydrangea

You can place this new furniture near the home and the companions can interact with them! Companions that can fly will interact with the Feeder while the rest that don’t interact with the other floor toys. There’s only a handful of furniture they can play around with but I’m sure they’ll add more in the future!

Taking Pictures with your Companions!

Once you have your pets running around you can also take pictures with them! Yep, the new update finally adds a way to take pictures with your companions! All you need to do is go to the photo mode and change the camera angle till you see the paw icon at the lower right.

With that you can then take pictures with the currently equipped companion! So go out and take pictures of all the companions in the game and see the different poses! Remember that you can only do this outdoors since you can’t summon your companion inside buildings.
