The new Tales of Agrobah update is now live on Disney Dreamlight Valley. It adds a brand new area for players to explore, which includes new characters and quests. The starting quest of this area is The Ancient Revealed, which sets the tone for the update.
There’s quite a bit that you need to do, including finding hidden items. This can make this quest quite confusing for players just starting with the update. So, in this guide, we’ll show you everything you need to do to complete it. Let’s get into it!
The Ancient Revealed Quest Guide
To unlock The Ancient Revealed quest, all you need to do is unlock the gate for Tales of Agrobah with Merlin. It will cost you 15,000 Dreamlight. You will need to complete this quest so you can move on to the rest of the update.
Reach Jasmine
When you go through the gate, you will arrive at the entrance of Agrabah Market. Enter inside and you’ll see that Jasmine is trapped. The path will be blocked by sandstone deposits – which you will be able to break later on but not now.
So, start by turning to the left and going towards the plank. Interact with the plank and drop it down so that you can use it to reach the rooftop.
After that, you’ll come across a wooden structure. Break this structure with your Pickaxe so that you can go down. There will be another plank and wooden structure that you can deal with in the same way and move forward.
Eventually, you’ll come across an area full of dust devils. Make sure you avoid these obstacles or you’ll be reset back to the last safe spot.
Navigating through the back alleys will eventually cause you to reach a locked gate. You can deal with this locked gate with your Pickaxe to break it open. Go through the gate and you’ll now be able to reach Jasmine in the market.
Use Planks To Reach Rooftops
Talk to Jasmine and she’ll ask you to follow her. Eventually, you’ll arrive at a structure that requires planks for you to be able to continue. You’ll need three planks to complete the objective.
First Plank Location
The first plank can be found by moving towards the center of the market – where the large dust devil. You should be able to spot a plank buried in the sand.
To get this plank out, use your shovel on it. Once the plank is out, collect it.
Second Plank Location
For the second plank, head back to the same place where you initially met Jasmine. Near this area, you should see a large plank that you can interact with to reach the rooftop.
When you reach the rooftop, turn the corner and you should find the second plank. Be careful as there is a dust devil that you run into.
Third Plank Location
The final plank can be found right next to Jasmine and the structure. It will be leaning against the nearby wall. Grab it and move to the structure.
Once you have all the planks, simply transfer them into the structure near Jasmine. Doing so will allow you to continue the quest and move to the rooftops with Jasmine.
Find Artisans’ Alloy
Go forward with Jasmine into the Artisans’ District and talk to her. She will tell you that you need to get three pieces of Artisans’ Alloy.
You’ll also need three small planks and one large plank too to complete this objective.
Start by grabbing the small and large plank that you can find next to her. The small plank will be buried in the sand, so make sure to use the shovel to grab it.
After that, head to the gap that you passed by on the rooftop. Over here, make sure to use the Large Wooden Plank so that you can cross it.
Once you cross the gap, start by grabbing the second small wooden plank. Also, interact with the barrel so that you can move it away.
Continue moving ahead and turn the corner, where the gap with the barrel is. The third small wooden plank will be on the wall there.
First Alloy Location
The first alloy can be found by crossing the gap with the large wooden plank. When you cross it, there will be a chest on the right side. Open the chest and you’ll find the first Artisans’ Alloy.
Second Alloy Location
For the second ally, you’ll need to interact with the structure near the barrel that you move. Here, you’ll need to transfer the three wooden planks you collected. Doing so will allow you to go down and interact with the chest.
There will be Artisans’ Alloy inside the chest.
Third Alloy Location
The final Alloy can be found in the Artisans’ District near Jasmine. Go towards the stalls that you see near her and there will be a chest there. Open it to get the final Artisans’ Alloy.
Assemble Royal Pickaxe Upgrade
Once you have the three Artisans’ Alloy, it’s time to craft the upgrade. You can do this by interacting with the nearby Crafting Station.
In the menu, make sure to go into the Potion & Enchantment category. Here, you’ll be able to find the Artisans’ Alloy Pickaxe Upgrade.
After crafting it, make sure to also equip it from your Inventory. Otherwise, you will not be able to proceed.
Using this upgrade will now allow you to break the sandstone deposits you saw in the market. Approach the ones that are blocking the way and break them. Make sure to break all the large sandstone deposits – otherwise Jasmine will not follow you ahead.
Reach Aladdin
Follow Jasmine to the South Alley until you arrive at another barrier of sandstone deposits. Break down these deposits and you’ll eventually need to gather three more wooden planks to proceed.
First Plank Location
The first plank can be found right after crossing the sandstone deposits. It will be leaning next to the wall.
Second Plank Location
For the second plank, go to the left side of the stairs. Here, you should see a plank sticking out from the ground. Use a shovel to pull it out.
Third Plank Location
The final plank can also be found in the ground in the alley to the right of the stairs – near the cart with flowers. Use a shovel to pull out this plank too.
Once you have all the planks, transfer them into the structure near the stairs. After that, go up and make sure to break the sandstone deposits here too.
Up ahead, you’ll be able to see Aladdin. Interact with him and you’ll be able to complete The Ancient Revealed quest!
