Drain the Mine | Horizon Forbidden West

This is the third objective in the sidequest Deep Trouble which you will encounter in Chainscrape. Read on to find out how to break them out of their unfortunate prison.

Drain the Mine – Horizon Forbidden West

Finding the miners is half of the battle, showing them out safely is a bit trickier.

First, look near the miners and you’ll see some blocks of wood right next to a body of water, dive inside and head deeper into the mine.

When you reach the surface, there would be some wooden scaffolding peppered around the open site. Find the ladder and head to the next area where you’ll find some machines.

You can choose to fight them, but avoiding them is much more efficient and should save you some resources. Diving underwater will reset their attacks and stop their chase. Use this to your advantage.

Once you’re on the other side, you can then stealthily kill the machine near the tracks with silent strike. This would allow you safe passage through that route until you reach a dead end. You should be able to lower the ladder here.

Note the explosives on the minecart that Aloy points out. After lowering the ladder, use your Pullcaster to pull the platform towards you. A jump and a climb should land you safely on top of it.

Walk along the track to the end to find the minecart loaded with explosives, detonate it and head back to the miners.
