Dress To Impress: All Key & Item Locations Complete Guide (New Lana Lore Halloween Quest Chapter 1)

The Halloween 2024 Update for Dress to Impress introduces three new quests that delve into the mysterious life of Lana, the elusive nail technician. Are you having a hard time locating some of the keys or items for the quest? Don’t worry. My guide will walk you through the Chapter 1 Lana Lore quest, added as part of this spooky update.

All Key & Item Locations Complete Guide (New Lana Lore Halloween Quest Chapter 1)

To begin the Lana Lore Chapter 1 quest, you’ll need to enter the green portal located in the lobby during the intermission after completing a round. The portal can be found directly opposite the podiums, as shown in the screenshot below.

Once inside the portal, you’ll be teleported to the quest room. Walk through the Chapter 1 door to officially start the quest.

Finding Lana’s Childhood Home

Your first objective is to locate Lana’s childhood home before it gets dark. You’ll have a 2-minute timer for this task, and the house can be found in the northeast, guided by lanterns illuminating the way.

Navigating to the House:

1. Start by going left when you spawn near the well.
2. Take the right fork in the path.
3. At the next two forks, go left both times.
4. Once you reach a wide path, take the right side.
5. At the next fork, take the left path.
6. When you see boulders, you’re close—keep heading straight, then veer to the right at the next forking path.

Once you reach the house, everyone in the server will automatically be pulled to it, triggering a cutscene that reveals part of Lana’s backstory, setting the tone for the rest of the quest.

Teamwork Tip: This section is designed for up to eight players. Split up to search faster, as it’s difficult to locate the house alone.

Help Lana Retrieve Her Items

Once inside the house, Lana will request six key items that are scattered around her childhood home. Your job is to find and return them to her suitcase in her bedroom upstairs.

The items you need to find are:

• Camera
• Palette
• Teddy Bear
• Nail File
• Journal
• Greek Tales Book

The house is full of locked rooms that require keys, which are also hidden throughout the house and barn. Each item has a specific key associated with it, and you’ll need to locate both to unlock the room and retrieve the item.

Detailed Walkthrough for Each Item/Key

Camera – Blue Key Location:

The Blue Key is located in the barn outside the house. Climb the ladder to the rafters to retrieve it.

• Once you have the key, enter the house and head upstairs. Open the Blue Lock on the door to the Parent’s Office.
• The camera is behind some crates in the room. Return it to Lana’s suitcase in her bedroom.

Palette – Pink Key Location:

After delivering the camera, search behind the crates near Lana’s bed to find the Pink Key.

• Go downstairs and use the key to unlock the Laundry Room. The palette is sitting on top of the washing machine.
• Take it back to the suitcase.

Teddy Bear – Purple Key Location:

Upstairs, in the room next to Lana’s, you’ll find the Purple Key near the chest of drawers.

• Head outside to the Garage (near the barn) and use the key to open the Purple Lock on the side door.
• The teddy bear is under a fallen plank inside. Take it to Lana’s room.

Nail File – Orange Key Location:

The Orange Key is hidden in the kitchen next to the fridge, stacked against crates by a lamp.

• Use it to open the Orange Lock on the door near the Laundry Room, leading to the Bathroom.
• The nail file is inside a trash can just inside the door. Return it to Lana’s suitcase.

Journal – Red Key Location:

The Red Key is in the kitchen, inside the cooking pot on the stove.

• Head outside and around the house to find the basement storm doors. Use the key on the Red Lock and enter the Basement.
• The journal is tucked behind a box in the corner. Deliver it to the suitcase.

Greek Tales Book – Green Key Location:

The Green Key is located in the living room, behind a plant next to the piano.

• Go back upstairs to the room adjacent to the Parent’s Office. There’s a ladder that leads up to the attic.
• Unlock the attic door with the Green Key, and retrieve the Greek Tales Book from behind a set of crates. Bring it to Lana’s suitcase.

A creepy two-headed monster roams the house. If it grabs you, you’ll lose half a heart and be warped outside. If all hearts are depleted, you’ll fail the quest and have to start over. Stay alert and use teamwork to distract the monster if needed.

Once all six items are placed in Lana’s suitcase, you’ll automatically proceed to Chapter 2.

Chapter 1 Tips & Strategies

• Time Management: Use the 2-minute timer wisely when searching for Lana’s house. Splitting up will make it easier to cover more ground.
• Combat the Monster: The two-headed monster can be tricky. Use teamwork or act as decoys for each other if playing with a group to avoid its attacks.
• Item Collection: Be methodical when collecting items. Keep track of where each key is found and what door it opens to avoid unnecessary backtracking.
• Hearts & Stamina: You have three lives for all three chapters, and stamina is limited. Running depletes stamina, so manage it carefully to avoid being caught by the monster or failing the time-limited segments.

Once Chapter 1 is complete, you will immediately start Chapter 2: Finding the Map Pieces, set in a spooky medical center. Be ready for more challenges ahead!
