You wake from a strange dream to find yourself in the world of Duckov — a place that’s both charming and dangerous. Outside the safety of your base, enemies lurk in every corner, and every expedition feels like a gamble. Your goal? Scavenge, survive, and make it out alive.
In Escape from Duckov, loot is everything. It fuels your upgrades, funds your weapons, and determines whether you thrive or barely scrape by. This guide breaks down how to get the best loot and make fast money, especially for new players still building their base.
Fast Money for New Players
When you’re just starting out, money can be tight — and losing it all after a bad run hurts. The good news? There are safe and efficient loot routes near your base that are perfect for beginners.
The fastest way to earn money early on is through quests and loot runs. Quests unlock vendors, crafting recipes, and new zones, while loot runs give you instant resources and sellable gear.
Below are the two best routes I recommend for early players.
Best Loot Routes
Route 1: The Left Path (Quick & Safe Run)

If you’re looking for a low-risk, high-profit route, start here.
- Head Left from Your Base:
As soon as you leave your base, take the left path.
On the way, grab the loot basket — it often contains handy early-game items. - Check for Caches:
You’ll usually find one or two random cache spawns along the path. They can contain anything from materials to low-tier weapons. - Hit the Tents:
The tent area is your main target. It’s loaded with weapon crates, jackets, medical crates, and component boxes.
You’ll encounter around three melee enemies here — they’re quick but easy to dodge if you attack and roll carefully. - Optional Bonus Loot:
On your way back, swing by the cement-walled portal room for two extra loot spawns. Then extract back to base for a quick, efficient profit.
💡 Pro Tip: This route is great for short sessions or when you need quick materials for crafting. You can easily repeat it between quest runs.
NOTE: If you see cracked walls, you can destroy them using dynamites for more loot!
Route 2: The Hotspot Path (High Risk, High Reward)

If you’re ready to push deeper and take on more danger, this is the route for you.
- Red Bird Tents:
After the first tent area, you’ll find a locked gate — but don’t worry. You can take the long way around to unlock it.
Inside, there’s a ton of valuable loot: safes, dig spots, and rare crafting materials. - Combat Tips:
Expect fast melee mobs, wolves, and occasionally even a boss spawn.
Keep moving, use cover, and focus on dodging — the loot here is worth every risk. - Bridge Building:
There are two bridges on this map that unlock access to better loot and tougher enemies.
Each bridge requires 2 wood, so collect at least 4 total to open up both zones.- The bottom-right bridge leads to a boss area with great drops.
- Defeating the boss’s henchmen can net you rare loot and cash.
- Unlock the Sewer Exit:
Once you fix the bottom-right bridge, move the crates on the right side — this will unlock the sewer entrance and exit, making future runs faster and safer.
The Ultimate Loot Zone: The Cave
Once you’ve built the bridges, your next destination should be the Cave Entrance — hands down the best loot location in Ground Zero.

Inside, you’ll find:
- Rare gear and materials
- Randomized high-tier spawns
- A visually stunning environment that’s fun to explore
Almost anything can spawn here — weapons, tools, crafting parts — making it a must-visit spot once you’re geared enough.
⚠️ Warning: The cave area isn’t for beginners. Make sure you bring meds, ammo, and enough stamina recovery items before diving in.
Extra Money-Making Tips
- Cash vs. Credit:
Vending machines only give credit, not cash — and some traders only take cash.
Get cash by selling to wilderness traders or looting enemies during raids. - Sell Smart:
Keep materials that are hard to find (like bleach or Ecolytes), and sell extras of common loot like low-tier guns and jackets. - Quest Rewards:
Never skip side quests — they often give you rare items or unlocks that help your long-term progress.
Bonus: Efficient Loot Route for Profit Runs

For efficient money farming, try this order:
- Start from your base spawn.
- Hit the hill storage area for easy crates.
- Visit the trader and sell unneeded loot.
- Move through the northwest camp for more kills and gear.
- Extract near the top or side exits to wrap up the run.
Once you’ve memorized it, this becomes the most consistent early-game route for both loot and cash farming.
