Escape The Backrooms: Level 188 Guide

In Escape The Backrooms, you will be put in many different rooms and levels that you will need to escape. Some of these may be difficult and easy. You will mostly face problems regarding finding the exit, solving puzzles, dealing with environmental risks and dangerous entities.

In Level 188, you will not face that many problems. Instead, you will need to solve some puzzles to get out alive. There have been people saying that there are some entities, but most of the time they will pose little to no threat.

When you first spawn in the room, you will see that you will need to complete a code with shapes. You will need to select three shapes in the correct order in order to solve the puzzle. After that, the lockers will open up, providing you with a useful drill tool which you can use for later.

On a table nearby, you will also be able to find a piece of paper. When you look at this piece of paper, you will see the number 1, 2, and 3. You will look at the shapes of these on the walls and memorize them. After that, you will go back to the lockers. Then, you will see something that looks like a wall, this is when you use your newly obtained tool to break it.

Now that you know what to do, you will need to head out and follow the red carpet that leads to a room. There will be a switch that allows you to turn off the lights, this is when the orders will be revealed. When the lights are turned off, use your flashlight to look at the order and memorize it. In this example, you will see that for number 1, it’s a square. Repeat the steps two more times and you will know the orders for the two other shapes.

Then, head back to the original area and type the code in to open up your lockers. After that, the lockers will open up, giving you a drill tool that allows you to break the wall nearby.

Use that drill tool to break the wall, which will allow you to go to the next area.

After that, you will see yourself in a yellow maze. You will want to keep heading forward and following the arrows which will lead you to the next room.

You will finally arrive in a room with a table on it. On the table, you will be able to find some useful items you can use for later. From here, you will need to find 3 switches and turn them on. This task is timed so you will want to go as fast as you can!

As you find the switches, be aware of the entities. People say they do little to no harm, but it’s always best to avoid them.

After that, you will be able to go through a door. As you walk from that door to reach the next area. You will be a big building with multiple rooms. You will want to memorize the placement of the windows’ lights. This will allow you to solve the next puzzle, which is typing in a code.

If you continue walking forward, you will be able to see a room. Then, look to the left, you will be able to see a device that allows you to type in the code. Now that you know the lights placement, simply type in the codes and you will be able to get out of the level. If you forget the codes then don’t worry, you can always go back and look at it again.

That is how you escape level 188. This level has its architecture look like a hotel, and has a maze which you need to go through. Don’t worry, however, since this level is considered to be an easy one. With a little bit of time spent, you will be able to solve this floor just fine!
