The new update for Genshin Impact is out and as always, it’s big and filled with content! The new land of the Sumeru Desert is now there for players to explore. These deserts are filled with ruins and these ruins are filled with new enemies to defeat, new hazards to avoid, new puzzles to solve and even items and treasures to collect! The update also adds the continuation of the main story as well as multiple side quests around the new area, and in this guide we’ll show you how to do a part of one of the quests there – Secret Of The Scorching Desert Proceed Deeper Within The Ruins.
Secret Of The Scorching Desert Proceed Deeper Within The Ruins In Genshin Impact
In the quest “Secrets of the Scorching Desert” which is a part of the quest chain “King Deshret and the Three Magi” you’ll be tasked with going through one of the ruins. Inside the ruins to the side are three pillars that you’ll need to interact with until they glow blue.
Once all 3 are in the right positions, a large elevator will appear in the middle of the room. Use that to go deeper into the ruins. Go through the path in the lower levels of the ruins, be careful since it’s full with monsters.
You’ll then get to a place where there’s another elevator going up, take that elevator and you’ll be in a room filled with enemies. Take out the enemies to unlock the chest in the room and claim your loot.
In the corner of the room is a mysterious message that you can interact with. Now you’ll need to activate the button next to the elevator to let it go down. Then you can activate it again to go up, while it’s going up go on its top and you can reach the higher levels of the ruins.
The new level will have monsters that you need to defeat, after defeating them another set of 3 obelisks will appear and you’ll need to spin them to the correct way to continue the quest. To spin them you’ll need to activate two buttons on the ground nearby.
Once you set the obelisks to the correct position the elevator will then activate again. Go on the elevator and it’ll take you to the next part of the quest.
