The Shrouded Vale, Hidden Hero quest is the final of 3 subquests of the Chenyu’s Blessings of Sunken Jade quest line in Genshin Impact. This quest is arguably the simplest one of the three, so getting through it will be a breeze. Complete Guide to the Shrouded Vale, Hidden Hero World Quest
To get to this quest, you must complete the Scrolls and Sword Manuals of Guhua quest. All this quest requires is walking and fighting, so this guide will be short and sweet. Here are the objectives that you must accomplish. I’ll provide more detailed instructions below.
- Investigate the mechanism.
- Complete the trial.
- Investigate the ancient sword.
Quest Location
If you’re finished with Scrolls and Sword Manuals of Guhua, great! You can go straight to this next quest from where you are.
Likewise, if you’ve finished Scrolls and Sword Manuals of Guhua and have left already, don’t worry. Just go back to Wangshan Hall and head to the chamber pictured below.
There will be a marker for the final quest location, but before you head there, explore the chamber. You’ll find multiple chests and low-value artifacts you can collect.
On the way to the marker, there will also be a teleport waypoint you can unlock. At the marker, you will find a mechanism surrounded by water.
A cutscene will play where you and Paimon discuss how Huang the Third probably didn’t know this chamber existed, leading you to believe that you found the real Guhua Treasure Chamber.
The Mechanism
Inspect the mechanism. A dialogue option will open where you have the choice to leave or touch the mechanism – touch it and a single hydro slime will appear. Insulting how much the hall underestimates the traveler.
Of course, things aren’t so simple. Defeat the slime and you’ll have to go through multiple waves of Hilichurls while having to avoid waves of energy that deal huge damage.
Survive these waves, and the last phase of the trial will be two Geovishaps. Once you defeat them, the water level will drop, and a Luxury Chest will appear. From here, follow the next marker on your map.
The Ancient Sword
Keep following the path. If you think you’re lost, there will be markers that will light the way along the path.
At the end of the path, you’ll find the Ancient Sword. It will be lodged into the ground overlooking the sea, and a cutscene will play where you and Paimon read the ancient inscription left by a Guhua clan swordmaster from long ago.
Unfortunately, you can’t keep the sword, but you do get a recipe for some traditional Guhua clan Fish and Lamb soup. Neat!
You also get rewards for completing the quest itself. These include x20 Primogems and x25000 Mora.
