One can easily get lost in Genshin Impact’s new playable area. The waterway can’t take you everywhere, so you’ll have to do some exploring on foot eventually. Finishing the Foggy Forest Path quest means that you’re already in the middle of trying to find the altar for the Wilting Weeping Willow Quest.
This is the first objective when it comes to finishing the quest. If you can’t find this area, then that’s completely fine as we have a guide that you can make use of to make everything a little bit easier.
Wilting Weeping Willow World Quest Guide
Just in case you haven’t done the Foggy Forest quest yet, go to the Underground Water Vein of Erinnyes instead. Investigating the altar under the tree will also start the Wilting Weeping Willow quest line.
This is where the key can be found as well. Dive into the lake directly in front of the tree to get to the altar at the bottom.
Interact with the altar to change your objective. To full activate the altar, you need to touch the harmonious reeds around it first.
Next search the nearby area for Hunter Rays. You need the Hunter Ray’s ability in order to free the octopus stuck inside the seagrass.
You’ll find the octopus right above the altar. To properly free the octopus, you need to wait for the three green spots to line up with each other.
Once the octopus is free, use its ability to remove the Contaminated Bacterial mats near the Dew Branch.
The Dew Branch will spawn a Dew Bubble that you can use to activate the Harmonious Reeds.
Place the Dew Bubble in the middle of the three Harmonious Reeds once they’re already activated. Pop it when it’s in place and an item will appear on the altar.
This also unlocks the Exquisite Chest nearby. Pick up the key on the altar to have another interaction with Pahsiv.
And that’s how you complete the Wilting Weeping Willow quest in Genshin Impact. Keep on doing more quests to get the other two keys if you haven’t already!
