Genshin Impact’s version 6.2 brings a bunch of new content additions, with the Witch’s Homework questline particularly standing out. This questline allows you to play quests related to specific characters, while also allowing you to unlock buffs. It all starts out with the Unexpected Commission quest. However, this new system can be a bit confusing for players, especially when it comes to the requirements. To help you out, we’ll show you exactly how to complete this quest. Let’s get into it!
Witch’s Homework Unexpected Commission Guide
Unexpected Commission is a world quest that introduces the Witch’s Homework system. To unlock it, you will need to complete Archon Quest Prologue: Act III – Song of the Dragon and Freedom beforehand as a requirement.
We’ll show you how to unlock the Witch’s Homework system, and how it works so you can reach the Epilogue.
Quest Walkthrough
When you go to the Events Overview page, you should see the Witch’s Homework event there. Click on Go To Quest and you should see the Unexpected Commission quest there.
To start the quest, you will need to go to Monstadt where you should see the quest marker relatively close to a teleport waypoint. From here, you can glide down and enter Knights of Favonius Headquarters.
When you do so, a long cutscene will play out. Go through the dialogue options and you’ll receive the Little Witch’s Dictionary.
How It Works
The Little Witch’s Dictionary allows you to invite certain characters and complete quests for them. As a reward, you unlock either an additional talent, skill, or constellation instantly for the chosen character. Additionally, the character also turns into a Hexerei character.
If you have two Hexerei characters in your party, you get the Hexerei: Secret Rite effect which buffs your characters. This buff will vary depending on the characters.
The main requirement is that the character should be at least Lv. 70 or above. After that, you can complete the specific quest for the character.
Currently, we only have the following characters available for quests in Witch’s Homework:
- Durin
- Klee
- Albedo
- Venti
- Mona
- Sucrose
- Fischl
- Razor
Be sure to complete the quests for each of them, so that you can unlock the Epilogue quest. Additionally, you will also be able to get all the buffs for your characters.
