With that said, here is the best kagune tier list!

Best kagune tier list Ghoul Re

S Tier

  • The best Kagune in the game is Takizawa V1 – especially if you run Strength with it. You’ll easily be able to dominate ranked lobbies just because of how fast it is, the AoE damage you get and invulnerability with certain moves.
  • Beaked V2 probably has the best M2 variants in the entirety of Ghoul Re. Additionally, it is also one of the toughest Kagune to deal with in PvP with a great moveset.
  • You may think that Takizawa V2 would be better than it’s V1, but we disagree. Takizawa V2 is still great but feels slower than it’s V1. Nonetheless, it is a great Kagune to have.
  • Quite a few players tend to underrate Nishio V2. However, Nishio V2‘s C move allows you to lunge and slam down a person, giving you a lot of hyper armor. As a result, you can just click this move to get out of any fight, making it really good for PvP encounters.
  • Eto V1 offers extremely strong DPS which will allow you to delete your opponent’s health. You can also get insane crits with your moves in the Frenzy State which helps you deal even more damage.

A Tier

  • Eto V2 may be beloved by many but we believe this Kagune does not fall in the best. Some of the moves are useless or offer barely any posture damage making it easy to parry. However, some of the moves offer crazy hyper armor making it still very viable.
  • While some people tend to hate it, Ken V1 is pretty strong as long as you run Dexterity on it. This will allow you to compensate for its lack of range and teleport to people instantly. You also have two moves which will allow you to ragdoll opponents making it incredibly useful.
  • Bin is a powerful Kagune provided that you are running Dexterity and Strength on it. It will allow you to melt opponents if done right – even though it is just a rare Kagune.
  • Yomo V2 is certainly better than it’s V1 version, offering more range. While the moves are easy to parry, the crit damage you can deal will allow you to punish opponents who try to parry you and fail.
  • If you do roll Mayu, we do encourage you to try it out. It’s a Kagune that works really well for close encounters by allowing you to trap and slow down enemies. However, some players do not like it all since it doesn’t suit their play style with a lack of range.
  • Yomo V1 used to be the go to for most players, but since then it got nerfed. You can do a lot of single target damage with it, with some great mobility. However, it’s not the best for multiple targets.

B Tier

  • Yamori tends to be considered bad by most players, but it actually has a lot of variety. It offers good range with hyper armor that makes it pretty usable. However, it is pretty slow to use.
  • Similar to it’s V1 version, Wing V2 has seen a lot of nerfs – especially to its strong ranged moves. This Kagune can also be parried easily, although the Crit of this Kagune is still excellent.
  • Ken V2 is one of the few cases in which the V2 version is worse than the V1. The wind ups that the moves have make it feel much slower as opposed to it’s V1 version.
  • Tatara is not the most well liked Kagune because it is quite slow. However, it still offers some decent combo potential if you manage to break their blocks and start hitting them with skill moves.
  • Hinami used to be considered overpowered at one point due to a bug. It does have fast cooldowns which can help you out in a pinch – especially towards the end of fights. However, besides that this Kagune does not have much to offer.
  • While it’s not used much now, Tsukiyama has some great combo potential – with easy to land combos. However, the potential depends a lot on how much you invest in your Dexterity – making it only suitable for certain builds.

C Tier

  • The Wing V1 Kagune has seen its’ share of nerfs which has caused it to lose a lot of its power. But it’s still not a bad Kagune, offering decent movement and damage options. It also has two ranged moves that other players will find annoying to use – even if the Kagune can be parried easily.
  • Beaked V1 may be an uncommon but features a really strong counter move that quite a few players are a fan of. However, the other moves this Kagune offers really are not that useful.
  • Just like it’s V1 version, Noro V2 shares a lot of its problems although it is slightly better. This Kagune is good for 1v1 fights but you’re better off with the rest of the options when it comes to other encounters.

D Tier

  • Noro V1 is the worst legendary Kagune in the game. The Kagune feels extremely slow and clunky with a fairly disappointing moveset – considering how difficult it can be to acquire.
  • The Nishio V1 moveset is incredibly simple and basic, having no real value to offer. While it is not the worst one to use, you are better off using other Kagune.

F Tier

  • Shachi is by far the worst Kagune in the same. It is incredibly slow, buggy and just terrible to play – almost like the developers rushed it’s development. Considering that canonically Shachi is one of the strongest ghouls – he certainly doesn’t feel like it.

Final Thoughts

That’s everything you need to know for the best Kagune tier list in Ghoul Re. Hopefully, this will help give you a better idea of which Kagune you should aim for – especially when trying to upgrade it. Remember, the V2 versions are not always upgrades as they can be worse in certain cases. In the end, though, we recommend that you use the Kagune that you are most comfortable with and suits your playstyle!
