God of War Ragnarok is the highly anticipated sequel to the critically acclaimed God of War in 2018. A direct sequel that takes place after the events of God of War (2018), Kratos and his son Atreus now have to deal with the incoming catastrophe event called Ragnarok, which was inadvertently caused when Kratos kills Baldur. While Kratos has to somehow survive Ragnarok with his son, it doesn’t mean that he can do some side activities, like fighting in the Crucible. If you are interested in unlocking the Crucible in Muspelheim, then follow this guide and we’ll show you how.
How To Unlock The Crucible – God of War Ragnarok
In order to unlock the Crucible in Muspelheim, you first need to find a way to get to Muspehleim. In the previous God of War, Kratos could travel to Muspelheim by using the Bifrost, but Odin has locked all travels to other realms, meaning that Kratos cannot use the Bifrost. Thankfully, there is another way.
In the Alberich Hollow in Nidavellir, there is a chasm. You must journey to the area to find one of the two Muspelheim Seeds.
Approach this cauldron and grab a Fire Bomb.
Turn around and aim at this spot that seems to be covering something. Throw it and it will be revealed that there is a chest that contains the first Muspelheim Seed.
The next Muspelheim Seed is in Nidavellir still, but this time in Modvitnir’s Rig region.
Climb up until you reach this area where you can throw your axe to open the gate.
Go through the gate and jump to another platform. Climb up it until you reach the top where the chest is. Opening the chest grants you the second Muspelheim Seed.
Find a gateway and you will be able to select Muspelheim. You will see that the available quest is The Crucible. Select Muspelheim and enter the gateway to travel to the fiery realm. You will then have The Crucible quest started, as well as the Crucible itself unlocked.
