There’s a new God of War game out there and it’s God of War Ragnarok, after the long wait it’s finally here. The fans of the series rejoice as they instantly loved the game, showering it with positive reviews. We can’t blame them, it’s a great addition to the series and it’s the continuation of Kratos’ saga in Norse Mythology. The game features more open world goodness than the last game as well as more characters from the mythos. God of War Ragnarok has a lot of collectibles as well and in this guide we’ll show you where to find all of them in one area.
The Barrens All Collectible Locations In God of War Ragnarok
There are a lot of areas in God of War Ragnarok, and often these areas have a number of collectibles you can find. We’re just not talking about bits and baubles but quests, chests, and lore pieces as well. The game has a lot of them and it’s easy to miss some of them. Here’s all the collectibles you can find in the Barrens.
Collectible #1: Secret of the Sands
This favour is easy to get since you start it as you enter the area for the first time!
Collectible #2: Artifact
To the east a bit you can find a small opening at the southern wall of the area. There you can go inside and in a corner is an artifact.
Collectible #3: Legendary Chest
In the same room look east and you’ll find a mirror you can throw your axe at, angle it right and it can destroy the things blocking your way to the chest!
Collectible #4: Remnants of Asgard
This one only appears after the end of the main story line. Just head to the place marked above and you can find some remnants of Asgard to fight.
Collectible #5: Berserker Gravestone
To the northeast of the previous collectible is a Berserker’s Gravestone, so get ready for another fight!
Collectible #6: Lore
Just next to the gravestone is a lore piece you can get as well.
Collectible #7: Buried Treasure
To the north where you can find a giant skeletal remains of something, inside the jaws of the remains is a buried treasure.

This will only appear if you have the treasure map from the Canyons region.
Collectible #8: Lore
Head southeast climbing the wall and go straight to find more lore.
Collectible #9-10: Legendary Chest and Artifact
Next to the lore piece is wall you can climb up to and there on top is an artifact and a legendary chest.
Collectible #11: Odin’s Ravens
Go outside the skeletal remains and in the right eye socket of the skull is one of Odin’s Ravens.
Collectible #12: Nornir Chest
To the northwest of the giant skeletal remains is another structure. There you’ll find a brazier rune that you can light up, that’s one of the runes for a Nornir chest.
Go to he back for another rune.
To the northern side you can get a view to throw your axe to remove the things blocking the structure.
Head to the south side again and look up to see an explosive pot next to a rune. Destroy it to blow it up and light the last rune. The Nornir chest will be at the base of the structure.
Collectible #13-14: Lore and Artifact
Head west and you’ll find another structure. Next to it is a lore piece and another artifact.
Collectible #15-16: Lore and Legendary Chest
Head south and you’ll find a legendary chest and a lore piece next to each other.
Collectible #17: Odin’s Raven
Look up to the southwest and you’ll see another one of Odin’s Ravens on top of a tree.
Collectible #18: Draugr Hole
To the southwst is an elevated area where you can go up to find a Draugr hole.
Defeat the Draugr and that will be the last collectible in the area!
