The 1.4 update of Grounded, as well as the addition of the New Game Plus & New Game Plus 2 has introduced new weapons and made adjustments (buffs and nerfs) to existing ones. Weapons are a crucial aspect of the game, significantly influencing your build and your character’s strength. In this tier list, I’ll be ranking all the New Game Plus weapons from best to worst. This will help you decide which ones to use, making sure you can take onthe game more easily with the best weapons at your disposal!

Best New Game Plus Weapon Tier List

With the addition of New Game Plus & New Game Plus 2, there’s a total of 16 new weapons added in Grounded. Every weapon has its own unique properties, including damage, crafting requirements, materials, speed, and more. Naturally, this means some weapons will outperform others.

Please note that these rankings are based on my personal preferences, and I might have missed some details. If you think any adjustments or changes are needed, feel free to let me know in the comments below.

Best New Game Plus Weapon Tier List in Grounded 1.4 ranked from best to worst.

S Tier

  • Blazing Edge – For New Game Plus Two weapons, starting with the Blazing Edge, it’s an S-Tier weapon. A Tier Three axe with Final Fury, it’s powerful and should be upgraded as soon as you get it.
  • Salt Chipper – In New Game Plus Three, starting with the Salt Chipper, I’m placing it in S-Tier. It does busting damage, making it versatile and very powerful, especially against the Assistant Manager boss.
  • Fresh Edge – The Fresh Edge is also S-Tier. It’s one of the best weapons, and you should upgrade it immediately.

A Tier

  • Wallopeno – I’ve used this one heavily, and they did change the effect to Finale Fury past level six, meaning your attacks speed up, similar to the Sour Battle Axe. I’m placing this in A-Tier. It’s a solid weapon for New Game Plus, and I’d recommend unlocking and using it until you get to New Game Plus Two.
  • Pickle Maul – The Pickle Maul, a slow but powerful Sour weapon, goes in A-Tier. It’s better than other sour weapons but still not as good as the Acid Edge.

B Tier

  • Frosted Flake – Then, we have the Frosted Flake. This used to be S-Tier until they nerfed it, giving it Final Stamina Surge instead of Final Speed.
  • Breathslayer – The Breath Slayer has the same ability as the Mint Mace, with Final Aftershock on a three-hit combo, causing a burst of damage. I’m placing this in B-Tier. It’s better than the Katana variants but not amazing. I’d stick with the Mint Mace until New Game Plus Two.
  • Fungnir – It does explosive damage on charged attacks. It’s a B-Tier weapon. I personally wouldn’t use it, but with the right build, it could be very effective.
  • Pepper Flake – The Pepper Flake is similar to the Frosted Flake but spicy. It goes in B-Tier as it has a worse ability than the Blazing Edge.
  • Pucker Thumper – The Pucker Thumper, another sour weapon with a similar ability to the Mint Mace, goes in C-Tier. The Acid Edge is better.
  • Sizzle Striker – The Sizzle Striker goes in B-Tier. It’s not as good as the Wallopeno, and you’re better off waiting for New Game Plus Four for a Spicy Club of the Mother Demon.

C Tier

  • Sour Katanga – It’s decent, but I wouldn’t invest too heavily in it. The Fresh Edge version is much better and would be higher up.
  • Tingle Tongue – The Tingle Tongue also goes in C-Tier. It’s a sour weapon but not very good. I’d never choose it over the Acid Edge.
  • Fresh Coldtana – The Fresh Coldtana is in C-Tier with the other swords. They’re all not very good.

D Tier

  • BURG.L’s Old Flipper – The BURG.L Flipper is a meme weapon, going straight to D-Tier. It’s not worth using or buying.
  • Killbasa – Now, the Killbasa isn’t typically available in New Game Plus One, but you could theoretically get it. It’s a sticky bomb that does decent damage but is expensive to craft and single-use. I’m putting it in D-Tier. I’d never choose to use it.

There you have it! That’s my ranking for the New Game Plus Weapons in Grounded from best to worst.
