Grounded 1.4: Best Tier 2 Armor Tier List

If you haven’t heard, Grounded 1.4 just got a huge new update that introduces a lot of new gameplay features and a change in meta. The game, which is a multiplayer survival adventure, involves a group of kids shrunk down to the size of ants. Here, they must adapt to the large new world and create a formidable base while protecting themselves from the elements.

To defend yourself from the dangers of the outdoors, different kinds of armor can be crafted to improve your character stats. In this guide, I’ll give you a tier list that outlines the best Tier 2 armor that comes with the 1.4.2 update.

Best Tier 2 Armor

Armor sets grant different buffs to suit different situations and playstyles. These can be crafted from resources scattered across the world and upgraded at the Smithing Station. Let’s talk about the best armor in this new update. 

Of course, this list is 100% opinionated, but it should give you a good idea of which sets are worth your time.

This is the tier list for the best tier 2 armor in Grounded.

S Tier

  • Ladybug Armor
    • Heavy Armor: 30% Damage Reduction & 25% Extra Stamina Usage
    • Increases the block gauge by 50, allowing the player to take more damage before being stunned.
    • Increases the amount of health received from any healing options by 12%.
    • 50% chance to apply temporary health regeneration when blocking an attack, healing 1 health every 2 seconds for 20 seconds.

A Tier

  • Koi Scale Armor
    • Light Armor: 10% Damage Reduction & 5% Extra Stamina Usage
    • Extends the perfect block timing window by 15 milliseconds.
    • Performing a perfect block has a 20% chance to increase the player’s attacks stun by 1 for 10 seconds.
    • Perfect blocks decrease enemy defense by 20% for 10 seconds.
    • Only good for players who can confidently and consistently parry.
  • Spider Armor 
    • Medium Armor: 20% Damage Reduction & 15% Extra Stamina Usage
    • Reduces stamina regeneration delay by 5%.
    • Increases damage of player-dealt poison attacks. Its
    • percentage is different for which piece has the bonus:
      • Head: +20% Damage
      • Upper Body: +40% Damage
      • Lower Body: +30% Damage
    • Increases stamina regeneration rate by 25%.
      • A good stamina armor for faster players.
  • Firefly Head Lamp
    • This is an individual armor piece
      • +9 Defense; 7.5% Resistance
    • Good for dark areas if you don’t want to use a torch.
    • Busting Harvest Speed
      • Rock Cracker: Increases harvesting speed while using busting tools. (50%/75%/100%)
      • Termite Delight: Increases harvesting speed while using busting tools by 25%.
  • Marksman’s Cap
    • This is an individual armor piece
      • +9 Defense; 5% Resistance
    • Performing a crit with a bow or crossbow on a creature has a 50% chance to restore 12 stamina.
    • Increases damage dealt with bows and crossbows by 20%.

B Tier

  • Black Ant Armor
    • Medium Armor: 20% Damage Reduction & 15% Extra Stamina Usage
    • Blocking an attack has a 50% chance to increase the chance for a crit to be performed by 1% for 15 seconds.
    • Critical hits have a 50% chance to increase stamina regen by 20% for 20 seconds.
    • Reflects 100% of the damage taken back to enemies.
  • Bubble Helmet
    • This is an individual armor piece
      • +9 Defense; 5% Resistance
    • Veteran Diver: Reduces oxygen consumption by 75%.
    • Increases stamina regeneration rate by 20%.
      • Good in the water but won’t be used in the late game.

C Tier

  • Bee Armor
    • Light Armor: 10% Damage Reduction & 5% Extra Stamina Usage
    • Ranged attacks have a 50% chance to slow targets by 20% for 5 seconds when hit.
    • Has a 20% chance to inflict 3 stuns when using bows or crossbows.
      • Has the most use for ranged players for stunning enemies with your bow due to the Bow Stun effect.
    • Ranged attacks give a 25% chance to release a cloud of pollen that deals 5 stuns.
  • Black Strategist Armor 
    • Medium Armor: 20% Damage Reduction & 15% Extra Stamina Usage
    • Can only be crafted after poisoning the black ant queen.
    • Friendly summons can inflict 3 stun every attack.
    • Increases the attack speed of friendly summons by 10%.
    • Attacks have a 10% chance to spawn a friendly Black Soldier Ant that will die after 12 seconds.
