With the release of this brand new JRPG, players of Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes are still figuring out the best ways to level up fast and reach the postgame sections much quicker. In this guide, we will show you how to get the Growth Badge, which is an item that increases how much experience you gain after each fight.

Growth Badge Location (EXP Boost Item)

Simply put, the Growth Badge can be found in the Abandoned Mine, which is an area that you will eventually be visiting early on in the game as you progress through the story.

There are other potentially useful items and money scattered around in this zone, but in the interest of time, we’ll let you scour the area for those in your own time and just get you to the Growth Badge as quickly as possible.

At the start of the instance, there will be a minecart blocking the way. All you need to do is push it forward enough to give you some space to run through to the right. There is an optional accessory further up north if you want to get it.

As you make your way to the east, there will be another minecart you need to push. Just shove it all the way to the end to open up the path, and keep going east until you run into a minecart with a boulder on it.

Push this minecart all the way to the right. Eventually, you will hit a large rock, which should break on impact. From here, proceed up to a different zone up north.

At the next zone, all you need to do is continue going through the east. You’ll eventually run into a traveling merchant named Hiro. Feel free to buy some supplies, such as Healing Incense from him before you proceed further.

Short Puzzle Further Ahead

After reaching the eastmost part of the zone with Hiro in it, you will be able to proceed up north. In this next zone, there will be another safe point and a cutscene will play, with your next objective being hinted at.

Pull the minecart up north until it’s on top of the bridge. Make sure to pull, not push, or else you’ll be stuck on the other side. After that, push the other minecart down south until it’s on the bridge as well. Once that’s done, push the button.

This will lift another bridge to the west. Proceed through it and open the chest along the way for some Healing Herbs. Keep following the objective to the southwest corner and you will eventually find yourself in the first zone again.

Refer to the path highlighted in the image below if you are feeling a bit lost after lifting the bridge.

Back Down – You’re Almost There

Now that you are back in another spot in the first zone, head right and feel free to save again before proceeding up north. From here, the path is pretty straightforward so just follow it, grabbing resources and chests along the way.

Eventually, you will find yourself in the area highlighted in the map image below:

From here, head right and go up the stairs on the first doorway you run into (the stairs are hidden behind the wall). At the upper floor, head all the way to the west.

Just keep going west. There is a chest along the way, so feel free to loot that before proceeding until the very end of this path. At the end, you will find a red chest that contains the Growth Badge you’ve been looking for.

And that is pretty much everything you need to know in order to make your way through the mines and get the Growth Badge, which provides a decent experience boost after every battle.
