Hogwarts Legacy has all of us on the edge of our seats. As the days pass we are getting more and more information about it either released by the devs themselves or simply leaked by some players from around the world.

The latest thing that we can get our hands on is the playable locations in the game. In this article, we are going to show you each of them. Let’s get started.

All Playable Locations in the Game – Hogwarts Legacy

If you have thought that Hogwarts Legacy will be just stuck and locked to the castle and school itself, you’d be very wrong.

The game from what we’ve seen in multiple videos provided by the developers or some art leakages from the players can give us a lot of information about just how much we will be able to travel in our favorite Harry Potter world.

Here we shall present you with each of the locations that are playable in Hogwarts Legacy and of course, we shall start with the biggest and most important area.

Hogwarts Castle

This is an art-style picture of Hogwarts Castle that we’ve found for how the castle will look in the game. It is a dream come true to be able to travel around the castle itself and see everything that it has.

This is the area where you’ll first start off in the game, and where most of the activities will be taking place at.

As you can tell already, there are going to be a lot of places to travel. We don’t know with certainty, but from playing previous Harry Potter games, as well as reading all the books and watching all the movies, there will be a lot of things under the ground which is not even shown on this map itself.

With that being said, here are all the locations that are shown on the map region of Hogwarts and where you are able to travel within it:

  • Great Hall
  • Principal’s Office
  • Ravenclaw Common Room
  • Slytherin Common Room
  • Gryffindor Common Room
  • Hufflepuff Common Room
  • Corridor of the Fat Lady
  • Hogwarts library including the Forbidden part
  • Wizardry Classroom
  • Potions Classroom
  • History of Magic Classroom
  • Herbology Classroom
  • Courtyard
  • Owlery
  • Boathouse
  • Defense Against the Dark Arts Classroom
  • Trust student bathroom

To give you a better feel of what Hogwarts Castle will look like, take a look at the video above where it is shown in all its grand glory.

Yes, we will be able to fly around just like in the video itself.

    Hogwarts Grounds

We are able to go around the castle itself and not be just locked in it. With that being said, we are able to fly around it as well as move around it, but it will not be as free as we think.

There are certain regions that we can discover and some that are locked behind invisible walls.

Here are some of the locations that might be playable around Hogwarts Castle:

    • Forbidden Forest – as we have seen from videos so far, we would most definitely be able to go inside this forest infested with tons of evil creatures, and more known the evil spiders. There are missions that will take place here as well as possible collectibles to be found
    • Graveyard – Not a lot is known about this place so far from sources that we could find but we can definitely say that it is a possible place to go since there are so many ghosts to be found within Hogwarts, even seen in gameplay footage. So that tells us that we will be able to see the graveyard as well
    • Black Lake – Also coming from the trailer and gameplay footage that we have, we can guess that going under the Black Lake to look for some ancient magic whirls will be a possible thing. This is the lake that is on the south of Hogwarts and has many mysterious elements connected with it
    • Hagrid’s Hut – Although Hagrid will not be born yet since the game is taking place a little bit earlier, we will most definitely be able to go around his house and forest region. This is something that is confirmed and can be spotted in various footage.

    Hogsmeade

The Hogsmeade is a lot of people’s favorite place both in the movies and in real life if you have traveled to any event of Harry Potter’s.

This is the area, or the small town, in the vicinity of Hogwarts with a lot of magical shops, restaurants, activity areas, and so on.

These are the places we can go in Hogsmeade:

    • Train Station – the famous place where you can enter the world of Hogwarts and see various fun activities
    • Pippin’s Potions – buying potions for making the Hogwarts experience that much more fun
    • Ollivander’s – the world’s biggest and best wand shop where you can customize your wands
    • Gladrag’s – if you wanted a wizard robe in any color and fashion, you can visit this shop
    • Tomes and Scrolls – how about learning some new spells and skills? Well come to the Tomes and Scroll shop

    Other Locations

With all the info we have right now, we can just name the other places and just guess that they will be available for travel.

Don’t take it for granted and with certainty, but we might be able to go to these regions and play in them:

    • Beach
    • Underground Goblin Base
    • Old Temple
    • Azkaban
    • Diagon Alley

That is all that we have right now for all the playable Locations in the game. We hope that you got the information you wanted. Stay tuned and patient until the game comes out!
