There are numerous spells you unlock throughout the game. Some spells are useful in combat, while others help explore and traverse the world. While a large portion of them are unlocked by simply going through the story, there are some that can only be unlocked by completing side quests.
One such spell is Confringo. Confringo is a fire-based spell that throws a bolt of fire that explodes. This spell is incredibly powerful and can help immensely in combat. Luckily, you can unlock it pretty early on as long as you know what to do.
Starting the Quest
In order to unlock Confringo, you need to first complete the main quest In the Shadow of the Undercroft.
You also must meet with Sebastian Sallow, who offers to teach you a curse. To start the quest, head to the place marked on the map above.
Unlocking Confringo
After you speak to Sebastian at the point marked on the map above, he’ll bring you to a secret room and teach you Confringo.
Go through the mini-game to learn the spell as you have with all previous spells. You can now use Confringo whenever you want.
On top of dealing a lot of damage, Confringo also breaks the enemy’s shields. This makes Confringo one of the most useful spells in the game.
And there you have it, you now know Confringo and can hurl bolts of fire at your enemies!
