You’ve looked high and low for all the chests and pieces of clothing that you can find. You now wear a suit of armor and can still swim without a care in the world, as if swimming in your school robe was dangerous enough.

But surely you’ve also seen unusual-looking chests lying around just waiting to be opened right? Yes, you’re correct, we’re talking about the Eye Chests!

Scattered throughout Hogwarts and Hogsmeade are chests with literal prying eyes filled with trinkets and curios that are free for the taking!

Let’s see if we can find one nearby.

One Eye Chest Library Location | Hogwarts Legacy

Eye Chests are significant loot boxes you can find early on in the game, all of them contain 500 gold. A suspicious amount of money that a student can have.

You will have to do the Secrets of the Restricted Section main quest first as you need to learn the Disillusionment spell to get near one!

Now head on over to the Library Annex if you already have access to the Floo Flames fast travel point for it.

Move away from the Floo spot upon arrival and head east near the spiral staircase, once you’re past that go through the gate and take the stairs going down. This will take you to the Restricted Section of the library.

Turn left again coming from the stairs and keep it that way until you reach a dead end.

Turn right and head down another flight of stairs until you reach the lower section.

You should see the chest after a few more steps, it’ll get upset if you get close to it and give you a mean look so make sure to assign Disillusionment to your spell slots and cast it before approaching.

And you’ve done it! You manage to nick 500 Galleons from a defenseless chest.

Now go do it again a few more times as they’re all over the place!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
