Talents are simply the most important thing that you need to know about how well or unique you want your character you be. Here we will be giving you an overview of what they are and which ones you should choose. Let’s get started.

Which Talents To Choose | Talent Guide – Hogwarts Legacy

As you can see from the picture above, there are 5 types of different talents that you can choose to pick in Hogwarts Legacy. They are all different from each other and depending on which path and route you go for, you’ll end up having a completely unique character each time you play. To unlock these talents you will have to get Talent Points which you achieve by leveling up.

Spells Talents

These are the Spells talents perks that you can choose. As you can see there are novice ones that require you to get to level 5, then you have the ones until level 16 and the most exquisite one is at the level 22.

Here are all the talent spells that we recommend you choose:

  • Diffindo Mastery – It casts slice through the impacted enemies and you can strike additional targets
  • Incendio Mastery – It will cast a ring of AoE fire around you
  • Depulso Mastery – It will make a Blast around and in front of you that will push away enemies
  • Descendo Mastery – Yet another blast that will damage everyone around your target
  • Bombarda Mastery – a big AoE explosion spell that does DMG a lot
  • Transformation Mastery – You can turn enemies into explosive objects that will blow up

Dark Arts Talents

Here are the Dark Arts spells that have a way deadlier effect and that will have a certain problem you casting them in some situations. They work in the same basics as before, or with the levels 5, 16, and 22 as the weak, medium, and strongest spells.

Here are some that we recommend you pick for making your character much stronger:

  • Disarming Curse – You are going to curse enemies by weakening them which means that you can do a whole lot more DMG to them with time
  • Blood Curse – Always make sure that you can this one first because it will spread out the DMG to all the enemies that you have cursed with this spell
  • Slowing Curse – It is a spell that basically makes your enemies immobile, or way slower. This will give you an opportunity to do more DMG while taking less at the same time
  • Crucio Mastery – Dealing a lot of DMG to a single target
  • Avada Kedavra – If you kill an enemy with this spell, you are going to kill all of the enemies cursed at the same time
  • Curse Sapper – Basically a spell that will heal you as you defeat a cursed enemy

Core Talents

The Core Talents are basic perk points that you can take that will make overall changes to your character and are not specific in any type of sector. This means that it will give your character certain buffs in some types of situations that are very handy.

Here are some that we recommend you go for:

  • Basic Cast Mastery – It reduces the cooldown of your spells, meaning that you can cast more
  • Protego Absorption – It will act as a shield that will absorb enemy attacks and spells
  • Swift – A very handy spell that is useful a lot in combat. It it a dash type of spell that will allow you to dodge enemy attacks or catch enemies by surprise
  • Spell Knowledge – This goes without saying, always max these out first. You will be able to cast more spells
  • Protego Mastery – It will absorb enemy attacks coming your way and push the DMG back to them with time
  • Stupefy Expertise – You will deal direct damage with Stupefy when it lands

Stealth Talents

These are talents that are going to help you out when sneaking around enemies. Some of them will also make you a very effective sneaky wizard, that will be able to one-shot enemies at times too.

Here are some talents that we recommend you choose:

  • Sense of Secrecy – Always level this up first since it will make the enemies discover you way harder
  • Petrificus Totalus Mastery – You are able to send enemies flying while being invisible while also freezing them
  • Human Demiguise – You will be able to sprint while being invisible

Room Of Requirement Talents

This is the talent tree that will help you out in crafting certain potions. Do not think that because you need to do crafting that it is a less important or useful talent tree. Just on the contrary. Having potions at certain times will make you way stronger than any of the other talent trees.

Here are some talents that you need to take:

  • Edurus Potion Potency – It makes you invulnerable to DMG and it will deflect the attacks coming from your enemies back to them
  • Invisibility Potion – It makes you invisible and very hard to trace by enemies
  • Headache – A very good skill that will increase the effect of Mandrake and immobilize a lot of enemies in a big group
  • Noxious – The Venomous Tentacula attacks will deal additional damage and also break shields.

Choose these talents and you can be sure that your character will be on the same level as Harry Potter himself. Have fun experimenting however and make your own favorite build!
