Honkai Star Rail – Ones Fallen Into the Abyss Guide

There’s a varying amount of missions to do while playing Honkai Star Rail. All of them have their own set of rewards that are definitely worth getting. However, there are also other missions that may be a little bit confusing for newer players.

Missions in the game don’t always have you go to one place and fight a boss, that gets boring fast. You also have puzzles to keep you standing in the same place for more than thirty minutes. These examples apply well to the “Ones Fallen Into the Abyss” quest. Check out the guide if you’re having a spot of difficulty!

To begin, you must travel to the Boulder Town area. Use the fast travel point at Natasha’s Clinic to get there quicker. Seele will be waiting for you near the entrance, talk to her to get started!

Seele will let you know of a place in the mines that are still being inhabited by a small tribe.  They’ve been having difficulties lately with outsiders. Deal with the problems by going to the entrance behind her. The moment you get in the mine, approach Natasha to trigger a cutscene.

Natasha will tell you that Oleg is missing and a few local gangs are bribing the miners for their discoveries. Finish the cutscene to gain access to your Relics for the first time. Your next objective is to go deeper into the mines, go around the barricaded area to continue.

Follow the bridge and make a left turn at the end.

Go up the path and you will shortly encounter a person whose sound asleep. Talk to him to progress, Elaine will be nearby. She counts as another objective so go talk to her as well.

She’ll tell you about the robots on the other side of the bridge. While crossing the bridge, you’ll also encounter the Vagrants. To progress further, do the townsfolk a favor and put them down. After the battle, they will run away and leave behind the Home-Use Object Finder for you to use later.

Now you can go through the bridge without further interruption. Once you get to the other side, keep following the tracks until you reach a group of people.

Getting closer to these people will trigger a short fight. Finish that and Antonia will thank you for your bravery.

After the cutscene, follow the tracks once more until you hit a roadblock. This is the part where you have to Search for Mine Cart Parts. Use the Object Finder along with the other guide to find the parts lying around nearby.

Here’s a map of the locations you will scan in order to proceed with the quest. A little bit of backtracking is needed, but scanning the areas will only take a few seconds.

Go back to the mine cart blocking the path and interact with it to trigger a repair cutscene. The screen will fade to black as the studio didn’t allot any funds for repairing a mine cart. Now you can push the mine cart to continue on!

Another cutscene will shortly interrupt your journey when you come across the Automaton Direwolf. Finish the fight for some loot and continue on further.

The tracks are your best friend here, keep following them to get to your next objective, which is finding Oleg.

After making a left turn, immediately hang right going down the hill.

While going down, activate the fast travel point to your left. It will make exploring the area easier for later, should you ever come back here.

A cutscene will trigger once you take a few steps further from the fast travel point. Here you will meet Svarog and Clara, get ready because another fight will occur once the cutscene finishes.

Finish the fight and the cutscene that follows, and Chief Oleg will present himself shortly.

Go through Oleg’s cutscene to finish the “Ones Fallen Into the Abyss” quest. This is followed by “A Sunset Rendezvous.” Now go to the mines and clear it yourself!
