Honor of Kings is a MOBA style game that features many different heroes from different time periods. Some original, some are well known from ancient history. If you’ve played Dynasty Warriors or you’re aware of the story of the Three Kingdoms, then you should know the leader of Shu, Liu Bei. Honor of Kings makes him a much more different character than he is in Dynasty Warriors, so don’t jump in thinking that he’s going to be the same. In this guide, I will show you how to use Liu Bei in Honor of Kings effectively.
Complete Liu Bei Guide
To better understand Liu Bei, you will first need to be aware of what kind of character he is. Liu Bei is a Fighter character that specializes in range attacks. He has high movement speed that allows him to move fast and flank enemies that are either by themselves or in groups. However, I do recommend that you fight against the more squishy characters in the game.
While Liu Bei can easily decimate a group with his fast movement speed and flanking abilities, a coordinated team can easily take down Liu Bei with ease as well. Have Liu Bei pick off the easier to beat enemies instead of the ones that have a lot of health.
Liu Bei is a great character to use as he can easily move around the map easily. If you coordinate with your friend, you can provide invaluable support when you flank the enemies around the map. However, he is also a bit weak himself. He can be taken down quickly by a skilled player, so be sure to use his movement speed to escape when you are overwhelmed.
Skills
Like all of the characters in the game, Liu Bei has his own set of skills that he can use to even the odds when fighting enemies. Here are the skills you need to remember and what they do:
- Reinforced Spells (Passive) – When attacking an enemy with a Basic Attack, Liu Bei’s Physical Pierce will increase. Doing this enough will eventually cap out, but you will be able to pierce through enemies and hit other enemies behind them when using Basic Attacks and other attack skills.
- Dual Shot (Active) – This skill increases the already impressive Movement Speed of Liu Bei while also enhancing the next Basic Attacks twice as much. This is a great skill to use when you need to escape before giving a couple of hits to the enemies before leaving.
- Leading the Charge (Active) – The skill that you will no doubt be using a lot when playing as Liu Bei. Leading the Charge allows you to charge forward, dashing through enemies and knocking them back. This will not only damage them, but give you ample time to attack any enemies that were affected by the skill. It’s also a great way to escape the area, especially when you combine this with Dual Shot.
- Hearts and Minds (Ultimate) – When activated, Liu Bei becomes immune to any crowd control attacks. This also increases his Physical Attack so you can deal enough damage to take down your enemies.
