Horizon Forbidden West finally has its first DLC, and it only took a year for it to happen! Normally these DLC’s let you explore brand new areas that you normally couldn’t get to in the map without getting a prompt whatsoever. A common practice for most games nowadays, but this one’s different as you need to have already completed the entire campaign first before being able to access it.

Only question now is how DO you access it? It’s been forever and you basically have this game shelved for a quite a while now. Well, as long as you still have easy access to your save files, following this guide won’t be a problem for you.

How To Access The Burning Shores DLC | Horizon Forbidden West

To access the DLC you need to have finished the final quest of the main campaign, which would be Singularity. Make sure that you also have the DLC installed before loading up a save file, a notification will then appear on your main menu telling you everything you can expect from the Burning Shores.

You’ll be contacted by Sylens prior to starting the Burning Shores main quest, go to Tilda’s mansion west of the Zenith base, there’s a campfire nearby so getting there won’t be too much of an issue if your last save has you in a far off place.

Lance can be found at the back of the mansion where you previously had your conversation at the end of the main story and will inform you of another Zenith that they never found until now, very convincing story telling.

Finish the conversation and obviously choose the option to go to the Burning Shores to travel there by air. Another cutscene will play and you’ll shortly arrive at your destination!

Here we have Alexis, he's been gaming ever since the second Famicom came out. Which is probably the reason why he goes back to platformers every now and then. Somewhere down the line he started getting more and more fascinated about looking at maps change colors for three to eight hours straight. If he's not out strategizing and beating the life out of his space bar in that order there's a good chance you can find him playing an FPS or talking someone's ear out about how game balance gets in the way of realism. You can tell that he really likes getting the full experience of whatever he gets his hands on.
