Despite the majority of games on PC having controller support, you should not buy a game just because of that fact. There is still a small percentage of games on PC that do not have controller support and will most likely never receive one, as the developers may have either designed the game with only a mouse and keyboard in mind, or they do not want to go through the hassle of programming controller support.
Games like Hotel Renovator can sometimes be vague if they have controller support or not, but luckily we have the answer for you.
Controller Support Details – Hotel Renovator
Hotel Renovator currently does have controller support, but not all controllers will work.
A Steam user by the name of Mullet_Mark asked if the game does feature controller support, and a developer by the name of Siemasz confirmed that the game does have limited controller support for now, but full support will come along when the console version arrives.
What does limited controller support mean? This usually means that the game will only recognize controllers like the Xbox One or Xbox Series X/S controller. If you try to connect a controller like, let’s say, a Nintendo Switch controller or the DualSense controller, then it will most likely not work.
But don’t worry, as you can use your Nintendo Switch controller and DualSense controller soon when the game comes out on consoles.
