There’s “almost” non-stop action in No Rest for the Wicked! They may not be any rest for the wicked, but we certainly need that if we want to do our duty as Cerim to the fullest! I know you’ve been having a hard time figuring out where the heck to buy or unlock houses in the game. Don’t worry fam, I’m here to help you out. In this guide, I’ll show you how you can buy your first house as well as a bonus tip, so you can choose which house you like most!
How To Buy First House
First things first, you’ll need to take on a quest called “Rats and Raiders”. It’s one of the initial quests you’ll encounter, and although it’s a bit lengthy, once you finish it, you’ll unlock the opportunity to buy your first house.
Now, here’s the trick – after completing the “Rats and Raiders” quest, you won’t immediately see those tempting house icons on your map. Strange, right? But don’t worry. Simply head over to the location of the first house you come across as shown in the image below.
Once you approach it, a handy tutorial will pop up, guiding you through the process. Keep an eye on the top of your screen – when you see the message “Homestead available for 25 Silver”, press “Y” to seal the deal.
Now, a heads up – you’ll need a decent amount of Silver to make your purchase, so start saving up. Initially, you’ll have three houses to choose from, but who knows, more might pop up as you progress further into the game!
But here’s the cool part – the houses sell for the full amount too! So, you can buy, have a look inside, then sell. Do this to check out the others and decide which one you like the best.
Now, I know what you’re thinking – how do you sell it? And where do all your stored items go to? Well, I got you. Simply approach the sign outside the house as shown in the image below, and there you have it! Your house is up for sale, and your items will safely follow you wherever your adventures take you.
So, in a nutshell, complete the quest, gather your funds, and start house hunting in No Rest For The Wicked! Remember, my icon didn’t show up until I approached the first house, so it’s worth a visit to kickstart your search.
