Elden Ring Nightreign offers a unique rogue-like experience while taking heavy inspiration from From Software’s other games. While the game does stand out on its own, there are certainly callbacks to the other games, which includes enemies, bosses and more. You can also find skins that are references to popular bosses and NPCs, like the Abysswalker skin. However, you won’t have the ability to unlock skins at the start. So, in this guide, we’ll be showing you how you can unlock the ability to change skins in the game. Without further delay, let’s dive in!
How To Change Skins
When you start the game, you will not have the ability to change skins. You will actually need to unlock the Dresser which will give you the Change Garb option.
To be able to change skins, you will need to defeat two Nightlords in the game. Nightlords are the primary bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign that you must fight at the end of each day.
By successfully defeating them, you should find that the Dresser will appear on the East side of the Roundtable House. It will be next to a fireplace and you can interact with it to change garb.

Alternatively, you can also use the Change Garb option that will appear in the Roundtable Hold menu.

However, this will not give you all the skins. Here is a breakdown of how you can unlock all the skins in Elden Ring Nightreign:
- To unlock the first two skins of a Nightfarer, you must defeat two Nightlords
- This will also unlock the Change Garb feature
- To unlock the third skin, you must complete the Remembrance quest for the Nightfarer
- To unlock the fourth and fifth skin, you must defeat the final Nightlord.
Keep in mind that doing these requirements will simply add these skins to the Dresser. You will still need to actually purchase each of them individually. You can do this by spending the in-game currency, Murk.
Garbs in Elden Ring Nightreign are purely for cosmetic purposes. They do not provide any bonuses or effects, nor do they change the combat mechanics or the Nightfarer’s skills.

That’s everything you need to know about changing skins in Elden Ring Nightreign. While these skins won’t provide any benefits in game, they do look really cool. If you’re an avid fan of the From Software games, you’ll be able to see that many of these skins are references to some iconic bosses and NPCs. So, collecting Murk might actually be worth it just so you can experience the skins!
