Cinnabar Sands Tallneck is found in the middle of the desert and is the first Tallneck you’ll ever see in the game. It’s certainly one of the interesting locations and is quite hard to take full control of. In this guide, you’ll learn how to reach the top of the Cinnabar Sands Tallneck and override it.
Horizon Forbidden West – How To Climb Cinnabar Sands Tallneck
- For the first task, you’ll have to kill any monsters nearby the tallneck to make the process easier. You’ll need to climb and find an energy cell. Do this by climbing one ladder after another until you’re underneath the satellite dish.
- From there, you’ll find a ladder to your right that goes down. Use it and climb down—you should see one energy cell connected to a generator. Grab onto a few railings to reach the generator and remove it.
- Go directly to the ground and place the energy cell in the generator at the bottom of the tallneck. This will power up the whole structure.
- Next is to go halfway up to the tallneck and activate the console you saw earlier. Now, climb by using the handholds on the left, jump on the ladder and follow its path upwards.
- Shoot the two cables that are connected to the broken dish—this should straighten it up for you to climb on.
- Finally, climb the top of the dish and you should see a moving Tallneck. Glide to it at a perfect angle, climb up to its head using its body, and override the Tallneck. Overriding this will allow you to see other Tallnecks and would expand the view of your map. You’ll also receive 7500 XP and two skill points.
