How To Counter Blight – Dead by Daylight Survivor Guide

Learn how to play around with Blight!

The Blight is one of the Killers you can play in Dead by Daylight. He is a powerful killer due to his movement speed or dash and his ability to easily destroy obstacles. This guide will show you how you can counter Blight in Dead by Daylight.

Counter Blight – Dead by Daylight

What you need to know about going against Blight is his ability to Rush. He will gain 1 token every 2 seconds and he can chain this Rush by bumping onto obstacles. However, he will have limited ability to turn during this skill.

If you can, try to know how many tokens he has left until he goes into cooldown. When he uses his rush, you need to take advantage of his limited turning. You can circle and loop a palette but you have to make sure there are no other obstacles near the loop.

Having obstacles around the loop or palette can make it easier for the Blight to catch you during his rush. Another thing you can do is take advantage of corners. You can wait in them and wait for the blight to rush you.

You can also fake going in one direction and quickly going the other way.

Countering Huck Tucking

One of the techniques that Blight users use is Huck Tucking. This is when a Blight looks up and down near the wall, making them slide. When he does this, try to break away from the loop. You can also try to block him from sliding off the wall during his first token.

The most common add-ons for a Blight are the Blight Crow, Blighted Rat, and Alchemist’s Ring. Compound 21 is an add-on that can reveal your location when he uses his slam. He can also use the Adrenaline Vial, and this gives him more tokens but a worse turning ability.

Do not use the vault on the short wall jungle gyms and try to camp in the corners when it comes to T-walls.
