As you progress through the story of A Plague Tale Requiem, you will come across some places where you have to escape. Whether it’s from soldiers trying to kill you or rats trying to eat you, keeping Amicia and Hugo and their friends safe is the goal of the game. That, and trying to cure Hugo of his curse. In Chapter 5, Amicia and Lucas are trapped in the construction site as they try to escape to the boat. If you need help trying to get them across, then this guide is just for you.
A Plague Tale Requiem – How to Cross the Construction Site in Chapter 5
When the gameplay starts, you will see that the whole construction site is completely overrun with a lot of rats. You have to get to the other side, but the rats are blocking your way. Hanging above them is a large source of light. Use your Ignifer to light it and run to the other platform.
On the second platform, there is a crane that holds the source of light that you used in order to get across. Have Lucas use the crank to spin the crane, effectively moving the hay that is attached to it. You will have to use Ignifer to light it, but it won’t be enough.
Switch to Tar and shoot it at the fire to amplify it, making the rats scurry away at a wider range. This will give you enough space to run to the next platform.
In the next platform, there is a crane that you will need to use to help Lucas get across, as he is still stuck on the last platform. Move the crane using the crank and wait until Lucas uses his Ignifer to light the hay to get to where you are.
With Lucas there, have him use the crank to bring the hay to between the previous platform and your current platform. Light the hay on fire and tell Lucas to let go. Run along with the hay in order to avoid getting eaten by the rats.
No matter how fast you go, the hay will move faster than you and the light will leave you, leaving you alone with the rats. Lucas will throw Pyrite towards you, which you will use to hit the ground and create fire. This will allow you to go through the rats and get up the stairs.
Now that you are on a new platform, use the crane to get the hay all the way to you. Hit it with an Ignifer and run alongside it to get to the next platform.
Now you need to help Lucas. Grab a stick from the bundle and throw it towards him. He will catch it and light it up to create a torch. You can continue on ahead as he will just catch up with you.
Look at the hay after helping Lucas and throw an Ignifer at it. Jump down and climb up to the other platform.
Lucas will tell you that he is stuck. Look at the wall next to him and you will see something shining. Switch to a regular rock and throw it to bring down what’s blocking Lucas. With nothing blocking Lucas, light the hay on fire so Lucas can make his way towards you.
With you and Lucas reunited, grab a stick and light it on fire to get a torch. Make your way to the light source at the docks and you will get a prompt to lift up some planks to escape.
