Get your shields, bows, and elixirs. I will warn you; things might get ugly if you’re not prepared for this battle. But don’t worry, I got you covered. Check out this guide on how the defeat the not-so-mini boss!
How to Defeat Boss Flux Construct 1
The Flux Construct 1 is a mini boss that can be seen repeatedly in the game but is not to be messed with. It can be found in places like the West Hebra Sky Archipelago. Encountering this boss will give the players a few puzzles and completing them will initiate the fight.
There are ways to defeat the mini boss. You need to target its core. The core of the construct is a green glowing cube that can be spotted during its attacking phase. The boss has different attack modes, and in those attack modes, the core will be in different places. Now, before we proceed with the strategies for defeating it, I will show you first how to locate Flux Construct 1.
What to Prepare for the Fight
There are a few things you might need in this battle. I recommend you follow the list below to defeat the boss in just under 5 minutes. It is the fastest way to defeat Flux Construct 1. Explosives are best used in this boss fight, for the purpose of having more damage output. Stock up on explosives!
Though keep in mind that you’ll need lots of inventory space, so be sure to collect Korok Seeds.
- Be sure you have a bow for this fight.
- Stock up with Bomb Flowers. I prefer you go to underground places or caves to find Bomb flowers. Nevertheless, I recommend stocking up with at least 5 or more.
- If you don’t have any Bomb flowers or ran out of Bomb flowers. You can use the Fire Fruit or Flint as explosives arrows.
Where to Find the Boss
- First, go to the Great Sky Islands. I prefer you fast travel to Nachoya Shrine if you’re in another location to save you the time of traveling. Fast travel is the key.
- Afterward, exit through the right and then immediately turn right to the edge of the cliff. From there you will glide down the marked area in the picture below. I suggest not jumping immediately from the cliff since there are other islands below the cliff.
Flux Construct 1 Attack modes
To initiate the fight, you’ll have to shoot its core. Being a cube-like mechanism, has the ability to transform into different forms. Those forms have different attack modes as well. In this part, I will tell you how the boss attacks and how you can counter or dodge those said attack modes.
As mentioned before, using Bomb Flower is most effective on dealing damage. It takes 5 perfect shots of Bomb Flowers to kill the Flux Construct 1.
- A Floating Rectangle Attack is one of the forms or attack modes of the Flux Construct. It will float in the air and lunch cubes at the players. The cube projectiles are slow and easy to dodge. To damage it during this attack mode, the core can be seen underside the floating rectangle. Get close to having a better shot at the core.
- The second attack mode of the Flux Construct is the Faster Fist attack mode. Instead of throwing projectiles, this time the boss will engage in hand-to-hand combat. Smashing you with its cube fist. Dodge its attack and you will see the core on its shoulders.
- Finally, the last attack mode of the Flux Construct is the Central Cube Attack. The construct will turn into a large cube. The core will be protected by small cubes. To damage the core, you need to use your Ultrahand ability and remove the small cubes one by one. Be careful though, it can still attack in this transformation.
The rewards
After defeating the boss, of course it will drop some materials for the players to use.
- Flame emitter is used to craft vehicles using your Ultrahand ability.
- Zonai Charge can be fuzed to a weapon, shield, or arrows.
From time to time, you will eventually encounter stronger enemies or bosses than the Flux Construct 1. To wrap up this article, always remember to stock up on healing items, weapons, and explosives for whatever comes along the way.
