From the makers of the Borderlands series, Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands employs the same artstyle and some of the familiar gameplay concepts players of Borderlands grew to love.

It’s set in a colorful world full of interesting enemies and fun level designs.  Of course, with how the game is a first-person shooter, some of the boss fights will prove to be a challenge.

One of these is Dry’l who you’ll encounter not too long into the game. Read on to find out how to win against him.

Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands: How To Defeat Dry’l

As you go down the Drowned Abyss, you’ll eventually end up at The Godswell where Dry’l can be fought as a boss.

The arena will also be limited with this fight as more than half of it will be covered by a toxic, purple lake that will serve as the Boss’ general area of movement.

This fight has three phases, but not that hard if you’ve leveled enough to the recommended level you’ll be fighting him with (in this case, it’s level 22). The difficulty lies in dodging his attacks as he usually does a sneaky dive-into-the-water-then-resurface smash that deals a ton of damage.

When he dives down, watch the surface of the lake and check if he’s already gearing to get up as you’ll only have a split second to dodge

He will also periodically send over bolts of lightning that will linger on the arena, limiting your movements more.  Persevere and gun him down as his first and second phases should not pose a problem.

After beating his second phase, Tina will give you a small dialogue before resurrecting him for a final time and you’ll have to get his armor down first before you can truly damage him.

Be constantly aware of where he’s sending his AOEs and make sure not to step on them as it will linger much like the thunderbolts.

That’s all there is to it! Beating Dry’l will net you a new Prophecy and another part of the Overworld to explore.

Good luck!
