The highly anticipated Farming Simulator 25 is finally here, and I just can’t stop playing it! There are hundreds of features that are new and weren’t available in FS22. However, having a dog in Farming Simulator isn’t new. It was available in Farming Simulator 22 as well, despite popular belief. Anyways, I will give you a full walkthrough of how to get a dog in Farming Simulator 25!

How To Get A Dog

  1. Open up the construction menu.Construction menu in FS25
  2. Navigate to the Animals tab, and then to Others.Doghouse construction menu FS25
  3. Find and click on the Doghouse.
  4. Place the Doghouse in a desired location.Placing a doghouse in FS25

And there you have it! You farm now has a proud protector at all times! Unfortunately, I didn’t find a way to alter the dog’s name, color, breed, house type, or similar. It does seem like it’s the same as Farming Simulator 22, where you had only one doghouse, one dog model, and the lack of ability to change its name.

Nevertheless, from what I can tell, the animations for the dog have been updated, so there’s that going for Farming Simulator 25.

If you’re experiencing issues placing the doghouse, you’re not alone, for some reason placing the doghouse is a bit buggy and inconvenient. For example, in some areas, players can’t place the doghouse even though it’s a build zone and the structure isn’t overlapping with other structures.

Whatever the case may be, some areas don’t have these issues (usually open areas), so players’ best bet is to put the doghouse somewhere in open areas.

On another note, if you’re playing on the Riverbend Spring map, here are all the locations for collectibles you can find there!
